Version 2.3.13 This update works through your reports from r/landerapp and Discord, and rebuilds much of Lander to be lighter and faster: thousands of lines of duplicate code are gone. Thank you for the reports. Faster - The feed and comment threads scroll more smoothly, and Lander does less work while you scroll. - Images, videos and comments each load through one path, with fewer network requests. Home and sign-in - If Reddit refuses your signed-in Home, Lander shows hot posts from your communities, or Popular, and says why. - Fewer "Reddit is busy" stops. When your session ends, Lander asks you to sign in again; renewed sign-ins are saved. - One sign-in everywhere: voting, saving and the Inbox and Profile tabs all use Reddit's own sign-in page. Communities and sync - Communities you leave no longer come back after an iCloud sync. - Reorder favorites in the sidebar; they sync between your devices, per account. - Sidebar sections fold; My Subreddits is grouped A to Z. Custom Feeds is one list with create and delete. - Mute Community hides a community from Popular and All; muted communities are listed in Settings. Reports use Reddit's own rules. Media - Tall images, videos and GIFs show whole in the feed. Muted videos no longer stop your music. - Media from Profile and Search opens in the full-screen viewer; GIFs zoom like images. - Imgur opens in Lander's viewer. Loop Videos applies everywhere. Sharing a video shares its link. Reading - Sort comments from one toolbar menu, remembered. Collapse Thread is also a swipe action. - Content Density is three presets. Translation targets your device's language; Translate Automatically is optional. - Read posts dim, saved items show a bookmark, and your vote colours the score when arrows are hidden. - VoiceOver: Magic Tap starts a comment; comments offer Share, Copy Text and Report. iPad and gestures - With no post open, the feed fills the screen again; drag the divider to resize. Swipe from the edge for Communities in landscape. - Post Style, Sort and Filter stay in the feed's bar beside a post. Creating a post uses a larger sheet. - Scrolling and tapping near the right edge works again, and a swipe on a post no longer also opens the sidebar. - Feed, comments, Profile and Settings share one comfortable reading width. Settings - Reset Settings no longer erases favorites or history, and iCloud no longer undoes it. - Settings that did nothing are gone, and each setting has one home: translation under Accessibility, Export and Reset under Advanced, read tracking beside Hide Read Posts. - Settings search finds more controls and lands on them. Fixes - Fixed a freeze while writing a reply, and favorites clearing after signing out and in. - Fixed crashes on iPhone Duo (feed picker), opening search results with the keyboard up, and on iOS 17.1–17.2. - Fixed the inbox badge staying at zero, deep replies not auto-collapsing, and comments with unbalanced spoilers. - Copy Text copies the words you see, and selecting part of a comment copies just that. Deleting your own post from your profile works. - Text follows Larger Text changes right away, and VoiceOver stays in the sidebar while it's open.

Version 2.3.12 - iPhone Duo and iPad: in landscape, Home shows two columns, the feed beside the post you're reading. Opening, switching and closing posts happens in place, with nothing sliding or reflowing. Prefer one wide column? Turn off Split View in the side bar on iPhone Duo, or in Settings > Appearance on iPad. - iPhone Duo: in landscape every control is in the side bar: the feed's, the Split View switch, and Close, Reply, Next Comment and sort for the open post. - Posts that fill the screen open and swipe back with the system's own motion, smooth on every screen. - iPhone Duo: bending into book mode moves content smoothly off the crease, and flat it fills the whole screen. - iPhone Duo: replies open and close instantly, and the side bar's controls keep working afterward. - Link posts without a preview image show the site's icon beside the title, in one row.

Version 2.3.11 - iPhone Duo: while you reply, Cancel and Send sit in the side bar and stay visible with the keyboard up, in landscape, in portrait and on the front screen wherever there's a side bar. - The formatting bar above the keyboard is larger and centered. - iPad and iPhone Duo: opening and closing a post, replying, folding and rotating are smoother. One layout rule decides where everything goes, the panes slide on one motion, and nothing waits on a timer. - iPad and iPhone Duo: browsing the card feed, open a post beside it and the feed switches to a compact list in the same motion, keeping the post you're reading where it was. Close the post and the cards come back. - Fewer rate-limit interruptions: normal browsing is never throttled, only a reader going much faster than usual briefly waits, and a thread you just read still opens when Reddit is busy.

Version 2.3.10 - iPad and iPhone Duo: with no post open, the feed fills the screen. In landscape a post opens beside the feed, which slides aside for it; in portrait the post fills the screen and Back returns to the feed. Your place in the feed stays put as you fold, unfold, rotate or close it. - iPhone Duo front screen, and anywhere Split View doesn't fit: posts open just as on iPhone, zooming out of the comment icon, with the native swipe back to the feed. A back swipe that starts over media or a link no longer opens it. - iPhone Duo, unfolded: in landscape the feed sits on the left and the open post on the right (Settings > Appearance > iPhone Duo swaps them). The side bar holds the feed's controls, plus Close, Reply, Next Comment and comment sort for the open post. Every screen has large titles, the two sides meet at the hinge, and bending the Duo opens a channel at the fold. Posts slide in and out smoothly, and a post keeps your place as you fold or rotate. In portrait the top controls no longer go missing. - iPhone Duo: replying takes the whole screen, with a short reply box under the post or comment you're answering; swipe it down or tap Cancel to close it and return to where you were. - iPhone Duo: swiping in from the feed's edge opens Communities again, and the feed's name is a large title in every posture, like every other screen. - Opening and closing posts, replying, rotating, folding and unfolding are smoother, and the post you're reading stays put instead of reloading. Rotating your iPhone or iPad keeps your place in the feed and in comments. - Auto-refresh works again. - iPhone Duo front screen in landscape: the sidebar no longer peeks in from the edge. - iPhone Duo front screen: community shortcut bubbles are now off unless you turn them on in Settings > Appearance. When on, they sit on the feed only and fold away as you scroll. - Split View has a switch for each orientation in Settings > Appearance (on in landscape, off in portrait), and a post's Split View button switches the current one. The Post Style button switches between Cards and Compact List in one tap. - Compact List: the vote score sits centered between the arrows. - Private browsing relay: if Columbia's relay stalls, Lander now loads directly after 15 seconds instead of 45, and skips the relay for a minute rather than making every load wait.

Version 2.3.9 - iPhone Duo: Lander is now built for iPhone Duo, so its Duo layouts show up on the inner and front displays. 2.3.8 shipped them, but they didn't turn on. - Half-fold it like a laptop: the discussion stays above the fold with your feed below. New: open reddit.com links from Safari straight into Lander.
