Write your script in Fountain plain text or import a Final Draft (.fdx) file. The editor auto-formats as you type — sluglines, action, characters, dialogue, parentheticals, transitions. Sluglines stay in caps. The dashes stay where you put them. The script is a .fountain file. It opens in any text editor. It always will.
When you're ready, export a production-correct PDF in US Letter or A4 with every MORE and CONT'D in the right place. Or send it back to Final Draft as .fdx — round-trip clean. Watermarking, Revisions, Cast all preserved.
