Landscape mode!
Unlike the default maps app, this app pays attention to orientation.
I love the ability to rearange the buttons on the map, its extremely convenient.
Another plus is when you ask for directions, it offers multiple routes for you to pick from, its amazing (sometimes).
One last thing, you can drop waypoints to force the route along a certain road if you want, you could do this on the PC for years, but finally you can do it on IOS

it has all the features I was missing in the standard maps. super nice. other people giving bad reviews clearly don't have the intelligence to figure out how it works (see below).
