How disappointing that the app implies that it supports Family Sharing capabilities, when in fact it does not. For the price and what you get, I should be able to share with my family. Not worth the money for only one user.

It may help to first confirm which option was purchased.Family Sharing is managed entirely by Apple. All family members need to be in the same Family Sharing group, with subscription sharing enabled in system settings.
