Description
Your smartphone becomes the digital link to your Mercedes. You have an overview of all information and control your vehicle via the app. *Only model year 2019 and newer vehicles are equipped with the Mercedes me connect technology, excluding the smart, the B-Class and all Mercedes-Benz Vans.
MERCEDES ME: ALL FUNCTIONS AT A GLANCE
ALWAYS INFORMED: The Vehicle Status informs you about the mileage, range, current fuel level or data from your last journey, for example. Use the app to conveniently check your tire pressure, the status of the doors, windows, sliding sunroof/soft-top and boot, or the current locking status. You can also pinpoint the location of your vehicle and receive warning messages regarding unlocked doors, for example.
CONVENIENT VEHICLE CONTROL: With the Mercedes me App you can activate pre-entry climate control and temper your electric vehicle immediately or for a defined departure time.
CONVENIENT ROUTE PLANNING: Plan your route at your leisure and conveniently send addresses to your Mercedes via the app. This means you can get in and drive off straight away.
SAFETY IN AN EMERGENCY: The Mercedes me App notifies you of attempted theft, an attempt to tow away the vehicle and parking damage. If a vehicle alarm has been tripped, you can turn it off via the app. The Geofencing service sends you a notification as soon as the vehicle enters or leaves an area defined by you. In addition, you can configure Speedfencing and Valet Protect in the app, and receive push notifications in the event of their violations.
FUEL-SAVING DRIVING: The Mercedes me App shows you your vehicle's individual fuel consumption. It also compares your fuel consumption with that of other drivers of the same vehicle model. The ECO display informs you about the sustainability of your driving style.
SIMPLY ELECTRIC: The Mercedes me App lets you display your vehicle's range on a map and search for charging stations near you. The app also allows you to start the charging process at a public charging station. Use requires an active, free-of-charge Mercedes me account. The functions can be restricted temporarily if there is insufficient data transmission bandwidth. Continuous use of the GPS function in the background may shorten your battery life.

Remote start frustration
The old app would not start your veh with less than 20% fuel, the new one wont do it with less than 30!!! Thats absurd, please disable this or change to <10%.
Robbing customers by taking away basic features
Extremely unhappy and frustrated with how you are scamming and extorting your customers. You do not advertise that you can take away features of the car unless customers starts paying ransom (subscription fee). Your dealers are the worst crooks in industry.
For Public Knowledge: I purchased a 2020 GLC-300 a little over 4 years ago. I chose this model over a pre-owned model at the dealership due to the remote engine start feature that I really wanted/needed being in Atlantic Canada. There was no mention that they will deactivate my remote start feature (and many other cool tech features that I dont care much about but paid for).
After 3 years, my remote start function apparently "expired" and it stopped working, and the dealership asked me to pay $50 for 12-months of remote start functionality. I wasnt happy about it, but seeing no other option, I paid for it to have it activated for a year. It expired recently, and I went to purchase it again on the Mercedes Me store, I couldnt find the option to purchase the "Remote Engine Start" feature. Instead, the only option to purchase is a $250 per year or $25 per month package of software services which includes "remote engine start". When I inquired with customer service they are saying they discontinued the standalone "remote start" feature and it only comes in a package that costs $250 per year. HEY Mercedes-Benz Canada, IF THIS IS NOT DEFINITION OF EXTORTION, I DONT KNOW WHAT IS.
