Mindset offers an auto-renewing monthly subscription at $15.99/month or an auto-renewing yearly subscription at $114.99/year to provide you with unlimited access to Mindset while you maintain an active subscription.

Payment will be charged to the credit card connected to your iTunes Account when you confirm the initial subscription purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of the renewal will be identified. You may manage your subscription and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after the purchase. “Your comfort zone sucks -_-”?

Gee, thanks. Just what I needed to read first thing in the morning. Especially when I’m already beating myself up for not being able to do more, for not being someone better. I don’t know if the title is just clickbait, and the actual message is nicer, but I really didn’t feel like clicking that to check.

I got a notification from a different app, Headspace, around the same time saying “the greatest gift we can give a person is allowing them to be who they are.” Thank god, because TBH, your message really hurt, as someone suffering from depression and unable to get up from bed most days or “be comfortable with being uncomfortable”. But I’m going to delete this app and slowly work through at my own pace from now on.

I know your app is more of a self-improvement app, and you may think criticizing our lifestyles and being coachy will light a fire under our bums, but if you incorporate any psychology theory, most agree that stressing someone out does not lead to long term change, and may make those who are trying to change regress into “comfortable” behaviours. And if you want someone to change their behaviour or step outside their comfort zone, letting them feel positive, happy, and confident is the way to go.

I really appreciate the feedback, our messaging may need some work to fit the message. As you would have read in the Insight, we promote the idea of small changes (e.g. Change your route to work) and working along your own pace. We're trying to show people that little changes and being slightly uncomfortable will lead to increased confidence and happiness, and lead to helping you become the best you.
