Description
Use the Mobile Cooling app to control your CFX3 cooler from a distance, providing you have a suitable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection to connect your phone to your CFX3.
Use the Mobile Cooling app to:
· Control and monitor temperatures remotely (Wi-Fi connection, distance depends on environment)
· Turn your CFX3 off/on, and/or control individual compartments
· Set your battery protection level
· Select temperature unit (°C or °F)
· View which power source your CFX3 is running on – AC or DC
· View the supply voltage level if running on DC power
· See whether your CFX3 lid is open, and receive an alert if left open for more than 3 mins
· Receive alert and warning messages

Broken features and hard to use
I’m really disappointed that this app has so many issues given how many updates it’s had.
The main bug I’ve encountered is that it won’t show any electricity consumption history when plugged into a DC power source. Instead it says “History data is only available for DC”, which it is!
Clearly this is a big bug as this functionality is a core part of the app.
The WIFI functionality is also very hard to understand. I can’t figure out how to change the cooler’s own SSID and password.
I can configure in the app how to connect to a separate WIFI network. But it seems the functionality to change the cooler’s own SSID and password has been removed from the app?!
There is very little helpful documentation from Dometic to explain the app functionality so it’s hard to tell 100%.
Finally I expected to be able to monitor the cooler when I’m away from it if it’s connected to a separate WIFI network and so has internet access.
But that doesn’t work for me. So at the moment I can only monitor it via Bluetooth which has less value as I am typically in the same room at that point so I can just look at the cooler’s display.
Overall I’m extremely disappointed with this app.
Reversed compartments to reality
The app shows compartments opposite to what they are in reality- the freezer is on the left in reality but on the right in the app. Confusing ! Can i change this in the app?
Decent App, just needs a few refinements.
A few refinements I’d love to see from the app would be the usage screens have a memory or log so when you turn off the CFX for a moment it doesn’t reset to zero.
Plus it would be nice if the Waite dot that shows up on the CFX screen to show the compressor is running would show up on the app as well. Little things like that would help while troubleshooting etc and would make for a 5 star app. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
