Great new UX after Reddit API policy change eradicated free apps
Glad to see a great app able to survive with Reddit’s abhorrent API usage rates per call. The price in Canada is very fair (despite Apple’s cut 30%/month).
Long time user loving the newer, smoother, cleaner feel of the improved user experience. No functionality was lost any nearly everything is 1-2 taps fewer to accomplish. The icon design and slide gestures are especially satisfying.
Graphic hardcore porn ads
Full screen porn ads with penetration and grunting come traipsing along the screen every so often, so if you have a family I’d suggest choosing one of the many other reddit clients that don’t take over your whole screen to show you naked people inserting things.
Best Reddit App
I have been using Narwhal for many years and it has been my favourite way of using Reddit on mobile. The developer made a better iPad and iPhone app than the actual multi-billion dollar corporation that makes Reddit. Now that Reddit is charging for API access, Narwhal has to sustain itself using subscriptions which I support because I understand the developer is not going to bankroll my Reddit usage… but wishing it was different 🤧
