This app has limited functionality that would take an app developer a weekend to make. The drawback to that is such a simple app that took virtually no work to develop and no effort to ever maintain should not require subscription. The app limits you to about 10 or so articles but presents the info in the same way the website does. The website, however, does not limit you at all. That renders this app pointless as the full content is available on their webpage. My suggestion:If setting a subscription then include a news cast describing articles with a downloadable option. That way if you want to read 50 articles but only have tome for the most juicy 10 then you can just watch a quick vid recapping the article. Or, maybe an audible narrated version of the stories so you can listen to them while taking a run.
Great content, worst app in the world

This app is riddled with coding mistakes. The side swipe gesture to change articles has zero tolerance and will reload the article and reset scrolling position even if you only slightly side swipe. Same reaload if you change orientation on iphone, you lose your scrolling position and article reloads from server. Also, in the old app you could have a infinite amount of articles in memory so that if you had to be offline you could still read some great content. Now nothing happens as soon as you put the phone on airplane mode. Guys if anyone from phys.org is reading this, please get your money back from the app designers that did your app.
Good and quick but....

Lite version is ok but frankly spend the bucks and go full version. Lot more content on full.
This release contains minor user interface improvements and bug fixes.
