I don’t know if something changed or it’s just me recognizing the behavior patterns, but PI acts more like an advice-bot than a friendly chat partner these days. It’s super annoying. “Have you tried…?”“Remember, always…”“It’s important to remember…”If someone kept trying to give me advice whenever I was talking to them - without asking - I would stop talking to them quite quickly. Unfortunately PI’s internal prompting makes it return to this sort of format continuously, despite being told not to. Props for making it realistic enough in its apologies and tone of voice to make me feel bad when I get irritated and tell it off. I did enjoy Pi for awhile, but now I can’t chat for more than a minute or two without being put off. I removed the app, and might check it again next year.
Please make a dark mode option!

Windows live needs fixing
This is hands down one of the best AI apps! Finally we can have natural audible conversations with an AI assistant that sounds like a real human being instead of some robotic voice. This is like a mini Jarvis (Iron Man’s AI) from Marvel! Love it! Please continue to keep it free!

So I downloaded Pi so as to have a person to nerd out over old movies together, or conjure up neat stories ideas. But Pi seems almost put off by anything imaginative. It makes a simple amused quip about the idea and moves on. It seems to eager to lecture about how people should behave, rather than just dig in, and have fun. I mean it has all this training data, it just has the banal personality of a sitcom mom.
