Love this app!

Honestly there is not enough room to write all the best things about this app. Who knew stretching could elicit so many emotions. Who knew stretching in puppy dog could make you sob. Well I am truly a changed person.
Regardless, of what you get out of pliability stretching through these poses is good for your body. We hold so much stress and tension in our muscles due to the stresses of the day and taking 20 mins a day for yourself feels so good!

Give a try you won’t be disappointed!

Developer Response ,

Thank you so much for your positive feedback! It's amazing how stretching can have such a profound impact on our emotions, right? Taking that time for yourself is so important, and we're glad you're finding it beneficial. Keep up the good work and remember to always prioritize self-care!

Don’t waste your money…

This is Yin Yoga. That’s all. Nothing special. Nothing specific. A regular practitioner of yin yoga may become more supple, but don’t expect this mobility app to be do anything of interest or value The advertisements looks great, but what you get is different. Too many old videos; they repeat the newer videos too frequently. You spend 20-odd minutes doing 4 or 5 poses. The voice guidance is FRUSTRATING AND IRRITATING and you’ll have no option to change it (“just surrender… you need to surrender… surrender into the pose” he’ll repeat to you incessantly). Little guidance on how to get into a pose or areas to look out for (as one may expect if they haven’t done yoga before… don’t worry though, there is such literal variety in the poses anyway). No flow into the different poses. Music is the worst. Don’t have an option to turn off voice or music separately. Videos have little variety. No answers to my messages to the company. App is NOT WORTH THE PRICE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I wish I could have my money back. I’d spend it on “Down Dog App.” (seriously look into that one! Customizable voices, video lengths, problematic areas, yoga styles). Maybe dish-out for Kelly Starrett’s program and ACTUALLY GET A MOBILITY program. Or, if you prefer being stuck to one very small and specific version of yoga (as Pliability offers), just watch the multitude of other Yin Yoga practitioners on YouTube

Developer Response ,

Hi Gerald, our core focus has always been on Yin Yoga, which we believe forms a solid foundation for daily practice. We pride ourselves on the variety within these routines, ensuring different areas of the body are targeted each day with minimal repetition of poses.

Additionally, we're excited to share that we offer a comprehensive range of corrective exercise routines, much like the ones you might find from experts like Kelly Starrett. If you're looking to diversify your workout, I highly recommend exploring these options. You can easily find them by navigating to the 'Explore' section of our app. There, you can try out various hubs/paths, like running and golf, or utilize the target area search and collections feature.

We also had a special release of 36 new target area specific routines around Christmas. Please note, due to a temporary code issue, these might not be immediately visible in the app, but rest assured, we are actively working to resolve this.

Most of our new releases this year focus on corrective exercise, aligning with our commitment to offer a holistic and beneficial fitness experience.
Our app offers much more than just Yin Yoga. By venturing beyond the daily routines, you'll discover a wealth of diverse and effective mobility options tailored to your needs.

Nice Looking but Issues with Bugs and Usability

So this is s beautiful app and for that reason I really want it to work. But I have already come up with a bug trying to start a path.

I signed up to a couple paths. I notice they all show as locked unless you join the path. After some browsing the app and coming back to the paths page I noticed an issue.

So clicking "continue" from the main path selection page takes me to the path but shows all the exercises as locked. And clicking the block (just outside of the continue button) instead of the continue button takes me to the path and shows the first exercise as unlocked.

Clearly this is a bug. The "continue" button should show the page in the same way and it should probably, from a UI perspective, be the only clickable part from the main path selection page anyways. It doesn't make sense that both are clickable.

And for better usability I think that people should be able to see all exercises within a path as unlocked or at least be able to click on a locked exercise to see what their future exercises look like.

And another usability note I have is I think it would be beneficial from both a learning and more experienced user perspective to show the exercise in motion before the instruction. Some clients might be playing their own music and are just going through the mobility as a small part of their gym routine and they might not be keen to turn off their music for the instruction and would rather read the information while watching the move in action.

Waiting for a demonstration where the person is just sitting in the middle of the screen doing nothing kinda seems like a waste of time in a long gym routine. And its disruptive to have to turn off my music when I can just read instruction. Just show the movement straight away.

For example: I do all my mobility exercises in the morning after light cardio and before my warmup exercises, then I follow it with weight training. I don't want to feel like I got to wait through a video instruction (that doesn't even show the movement in the first 15 seconds) in an already long day at the gym. I want to quickly get through all my programming.

I know I explained it twice but I think its important that you show the movement immediately on clicking into the exercise.

Also just an added request... it would be nice if you could stack your mobility exercises into one path if you were signed up for two so you don't have to click in and out of the interface.

Yeah some bugs for sure but I hope you guys sort it out. Unfortunately as is its probably not quite ready for use by me. I love the look of the app I just wish the functionality was a bit better.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write us this feedback, it helps immensely with knowing all the areas we can improve in for future releases.
