Easy app, fees are too high (drivers perspective)

I’ve driven with this app, and it’s great for coordinating rides (much easier than posting boards), and it’s nice too see profiles. Showing the map is a nice touch, although it’s just an automatic map and you can’t change the route.

The fees seem pretty high though. App fees are ~15%, which goes directly to the app developers for a fairly simple app (with no insurance or guarantees like Airbnb).

People using the app are price conscious and I think this is unreasonably high, especially when they charge the fees on each portion of a round trip.

Heya, thanks for giving us feedback on the app. Our 15% fee is needed to help cover high fees charged to us by credit card companies, and to support the business and make improvements to our the app.

If a ride falls through, you can get in touch with us through our support channel so we can help you find another means of transportation, and please note that in Canada you are covered by your regular insurance when carpooling, as it's not considered a commercial activity.

Pathetic app

Worst app ever. A customer requested for ride and his pick up and drop off timing doesn’t match with mine so I didn’t accept it and guess what poparide customer support permanently banned my account. Also, customer shared his number and he wanted to book ride outside of poparide app and after looking at conversation they blocked my id. I contacted them on support mail and still blocked my account. WOW !!! This is such a useless app. Google and iPhone App Store should ban this app permanently.

Payout

Its unrealistic that they take 2 weeks to pay, its way better advertising on Kijiji and get paid cash on the day of the trip......very disappointed

Asian noobs hack the reviews. I wanted to verify my drivers license, I contacted their customer support and this pathetics blocked my account instead of helping me or asking me. It was new account. Worst customer service ever.

Privacy issue

Their is no privacy while using this app as they can access all our chats & read chats and block account using that chat, how can we trust this app with our licence data as they are requesting licence for verification, be aware of this scam app

Poparide Blocked account without any reason

Recently complete trip with PoPride they blocked my account without any reason and didn’t pay anything what a shameful act!

Accounts are typically suspended by our system if there's a breach to our Terms of Service. Even if a driver's account is suspended, payouts will still be processed. Our support team can manually review these cases, including pending payouts. Please email us at support@poparide.com, and we will gladly review your situation.

Account blocked for no reason

as you can read from other reviews, it’s not good for drivers at all. My account was blocked due to no reason. The customers can book you but you have to accept or decline in one hour which is too short for us drivers to react to! Some of us are busy in school, exams and other work related stuff.

Not good for the Drivers

I've experienced poor customer support as a driver, with long response times and unhelpful resolutions. I feel undervalued when asked to do door-to-door pickups for low fares. I suggest improving support response times and reviewing fare structures to ensure fair compensation for drivers.
