With this update, small business clients can now transfer points between linked personal and small business profiles. Plus, several bug fixes and performance enhancements have been made to improve the experience. For better performance, your device should run the latest versions of both iOS and RBC Rewards.

A disappointing mess! What are all those AGILE folks doing in the dev lab besides not fixing a broken app? Come on PO’s and leaders, wake up - your pushing customers to other banks.

Given that the people who programmed this app don't seem to know what they are doing, I had to try and figure this out for myself. It seems the issue is with fingerprint log in. Try using the entered password instead, works for me. The app is so poorly designed that you probably won't be able to see the password as you are entering it (it's obscured by the keyboard, on the iPhone anyway). But this seems to be a work around.
