Rec'n'Share allows you to record audio and video along with songs from your music library and then share your performances with the world.
It digitally enhances the way you practice, record and perform music.
Produce high-quality performance videos easily.
Connect a compatible Yamaha instrument to your smart phone/tablet (*1) to simultaneously record video from your phone’s camera, stereo digital audio from your Yamaha product and stereo backing tracks from your music library (*2) (*3).
After recording, use the app’s editing functions to trim and balance the tracks.
Enrich your practice.
Pick a song from your music library and the app’s tempo detection lets you add a click, change the tempo and select sections to repeat. It’s practice made perfect.
The Audio Track Separation function, available in Version 3, allows you to adjust the volume of specific tracks (vocals, drums, bass, etc.) of your favorite songs.
Enjoy practicing and recording more with your favorite songs in the background.
Share with the world!
You can upload your finished performances to YouTube / Facebook / Dropbox / Instagram etc (*4).
Whether you’re uploading YouTube covers or collaborating on recording original songs, Rec'n'Share lets you share your music with people all over the world !

Extraction option is spotty and glitchy
Downloaded newest update. Disappointed. App keeps glitching and shutting down. Extracting drums is spotty at best and changes pitch of other instruments.
Constantly fails to connect to EAD10
I bought an iPad pretty much exclusively to test out the functionality of the EAD10, which many drummers online rave about.
This app has only connected for me on two occasions. I’ve swapped out camera connectors and tried different USB A to B cables to no avail. I constantly get the “before recording please connect a compatible Yamaha digital instrument message.”
Little to no help available online or in the manual. I’ve walked through the connection guide every time and waste entire practice sessions trying to figure out how to get this thing to work.
Very frustrating and very disappointing.
