• Fixed issues with translation. • Other minor bug fixes. • Improved stability.

In 6.1, you can translate articles right where you read them. Articles from other branches can now be read in the language you use every day. ■ ARTICLE TRANSLATION Translate an article's text without leaving it. Images and layout stay as they are. Use the Translate button at the top to switch between the Original and the translation with one tap. Translation uses Apple's translation feature and is free. The first time you use a language, its language data needs to be downloaded. ■ TRANSLATION SETTINGS In Settings under Translation, choose your Languages and put them in order. Turn on Translate automatically to translate articles when you open them and show translated article titles on Home and in lists. For each branch, you can choose whether to translate or read in the original language. ■ ALSO • The app's display language no longer changes when you select a branch. • Filtering by object class and branch names now work correctly in every branch. • Lists now show series summaries. • Fixed an issue where moving forward through images and going back did not work in interactive articles such as SCP-2000-JP. • You can now move from a joke article to the next joke article. • Improved the stability of folder sync and sorting. • Other minor bug fixes. 6.1 requires iOS 18 or later.

• Choose article URLs, titles, text, notes and highlights separately when sharing, and keep your choices for next time. • Share, copy, save files and save to registered destinations from one screen, with improved previews and access to card posts. • Improved reliability of article display, links, reading position, offline saving, search, the library and audio playback.

• Improved keeping memo drafts and retrying when saving or deleting a memo fails. • Improved preserving Favorites and Read Later changes after restarting, and protecting read status, ratings, history, and titles from unintended overwrites during sync. • Undoing an article move between folders now preserves articles already in the destination. • Fixed mismatches between offline save/delete labels and the action performed. • Improved saving elapsed reading time when the app moves to the background. • Improved restoring your reading position after changing image display or text settings, or reloading an article. • Fixed recognition of Indonesian branch article links.

In 6.0, we rebuilt how the screens are organized. The bottom tabs are now four: Home, Library, Records, and Search, and Settings moved to the top right of each screen. Your history, Taste ratings, memos, and highlights are now gathered in the new Records tab, where you can search across articles by article title, article number, memo, or quote. ■ LIBRARY Favorites, Read later, Downloads, and Folders are now gathered in the Library. ■ HIGHLIGHTS AND NOTES Select text in an article to highlight it, and add a note to a quote. Folders also switch between Articles and Records. ■ EXPORT YOUR RECORDS Check exactly what will leave the app in the preview, then save it to Files, Obsidian, Notion, or OneNote. Destinations you use often can be registered once. ■ READING STATS, REBUILT Reading Stats is now Summary, Activity log, Coverage map, Taste profile, Backlog, and a Monthly report you can share as a card. Summary, Activity log, and Backlog are free. ■ DOWNLOADS Save an article to your device with its images and layout, and read it with no connection. Adding to a list and downloading are now separate, so removing an article from a list keeps the download. ■ READING REMINDER At a time you choose, we'll recommend one article (at most once a day). Free to use. Turn it on in Settings under Reading. ■ PREMIUM • Added a yearly plan. • Memo search, filtering by your own Taste ratings, Favorites, and Read later, and saved searches with new-match notifications are now Premium features. Searches you already saved are not deleted. • Search by number, title, tag, object class, and more stays free. • Raised the free Read later limit to 100 items. • Downloads can no longer be unlocked temporarily by watching an ad (still available while subscribed to Premium). • Full-screen ads now appear when you close an article, not when you open one. ■ ALSO • New share card designs: Glass Archive, Metallic, Navigation, and Analog. • A new 6.0 app icon. • Read Aloud picks a voice that matches the article's language, and keeps reading after you close the sheet. • Reviewed the interface wording in the 15 languages other than Japanese and English, with around 800 corrections. • Fewer stalls right after launch, lighter work in the Library and in search, and saved lists stay usable while syncing. • You can now filter Favorites, Read later, and folders by article number or title. • Added a NotebookLM source kit export preset. • Improved the presentation of share cards, the Library, and search results. • Fixed an issue where the correct layout might not be applied the first time an article was opened. • Other minor bug fixes. If you use the app on more than one device, please update all of them to 6.0.

• Added four Home Screen widgets: Continue Reading, Random Article, Search, and Reading Hub. They present article titles, thumbnails, and estimated reading time at a glance. • Improved the accuracy and speed of article-number searches. • Fixed article layout issues and added tap-to-retry for images that fail to load. • Made article read status clearer in folders.

We improved the reading experience. Reader now shows your reading progress and estimated time remaining. Collections show completion status and provide a path to the next unread article. With Premium, you can save multiple articles for offline reading at once and continue Read Aloud in the background. We also refined Reader loading guidance and controls, making features such as in-article search and text settings easier to reach. We fixed other minor issues and improved stability.

Folders are now easier to see and use. Library opens to Folders the first time, folder icons are larger, and your last display choice is remembered. We also added four recommended reading-list folders for your selected SCP branch. “Start here: beginner picks” appears first. You can delete any list and add the recommendations again from the menu whenever you need them.

Folders are far more capable. You can create folders inside folders, move articles and folders between them, select several items at once for bulk actions, rename in place, reorder, and drag and drop. Contents can be shown as a list or as a grid. Search has been rebuilt. The search field stays visible, and the filters and tags you have applied can be cleared right where you see them. Results are ordered by relevance, matched text is highlighted, and each result shows why it matched. Misspelled queries bring up "did you mean" suggestions. SCP Indonesia is now supported as a branch, and Indonesian was added as an app language. Two new share card designs were added: Foundation File and Shipping Label. We also fixed a number of issues, including one that prevented switching Series in numbered SCP lists.

Improved the article data: filled in missing titles, descriptions, tags, and ratings, and made syncing more reliable. Also fixed several bugs and improved stability.

SCP docs 5.2 indexes more works and makes articles easier to find. • Many more translated Tales are now included. Works missing from the official lists were added, and the Tales language tabs now reflect the languages actually available. • A "New" filter was added. In the SCP, Tales, Joke, and SCP-EX lists you can see recently updated articles grouped by date. • Works from smaller branches are now gathered under a single "Developing Branches" entry. • Sorting now lives in one menu at the top right on every screen, and the bottom bar keeps only the filters you use most. • Settings has a new "Keep screen awake while using the app" option (off by default). This release also includes minor bug fixes and stability improvements.

SCP docs 5.1 is all about iPad, with fixes for every device. • On iPad, Home is now two columns in portrait and landscape: your reading path on the left—continue reading, recommended reports, recently read and search presets—and an expanded archive menu on the right, with Tales, Artwork, Canon, Series, Groups of Interest, Joke, SCP-EX, collaborative works and a recent activity strip. • The Reader and list screens now fill the full width of the display, with left and right drawers that slide in over the edges: the context list and collection memberships on one side, Similar articles and Read later on the other. • More iPad refinements: the classification control in Library is now the same floating launcher used in the Reader, action panels size to their content, content pickers no longer hide behind the bottom bar, tap targets meet the 44 pt minimum, and Cmd+F focuses search from any tab. • Back-swipe in the Reader now works from anywhere on the page, and a new setting adjusts the width of article text. • New Safe Browsing settings hide images in place—tap to reveal, with no layout shift—and stop animation and autoplay, without breaking collapsibles, tabs or footnotes. • Canon collections now show every member with a card built for its kind: number, object class and thumbnail for reports, an author line for tales, and its chip for Groups of Interest. • Fixes: the Rating tab in Library no longer hides items below four stars, archive counts on Home no longer stay at zero after a restart, official ratings appear again on Groups of Interest rows, canon hubs and the SCP-001 proposal feed, Groups of Interest organization pages load again, Spanish and Polish articles no longer produce blank share cards, and the first search after launch is no longer delayed.

SCP docs 5 is our biggest expansion yet. • Eight new branches—Chinese, Thai, German, Italian, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Czech, and Traditional Chinese—bring the total to 15, with 15 interface languages. • A new Discover center surfaces top-rated, recent, and unread articles, plus random picks and similar stories. • Canon, Series, GoI, Tales, and collaboration directories are more complete across branches. • A searchable branch picker and improved first-time and returning-reader journeys make it easier to get started. • The Reader, gestures, share cards, links, and live collaboration pages are more polished and reliable. • A new app icon arrives with performance, accessibility, and stability fixes throughout.

SCP docs 4 greatly expands how you discover, connect and read community works. • Explore Artwork & Media across all seven supported branches. Browse images and videos by creator, tag, year, rating or update date, then check the source, credits and license details. • Discover curated collaborative pages and shared logs from all seven branches in native lists, with a refined Reader for long collaboration records. • Highlight passages in three colors, collect them in Library and jump back to the saved location. Creating and editing highlights is a Premium feature. • Read the new Polish branch, follow officially curated links between reports and Tales, explore top-rated SCPs and Tales by source, and sort Tales by author, rating or date. • Enjoy new typefaces and sepia mode, clearer catalog cards, a smoother Reader, improved iPad and accessibility support, new share-card styles and a new app icon.

Pick up right where you left off - reading just got smoother. • Articles now reopen at your last scroll position, so long reports resume exactly where you stopped. • New "Unread only" filter and sort options (by number or official rating) in every catalog. • New "Top rated" lens: each branch's highest-rated articles, gathered in one place. • Read Later articles are now saved for offline reading automatically. • Read aloud now follows the article's language instead of the app language. • Recent searches reappear as one-tap chips, the Library index is reorganized into four clear sections, and article cards share one unified, easier-to-scan layout. Thanks for reading with us. We'd love your feedback.

The Korean branch joins SCP-docs. Read and compare JP, EN, FR, RU, and KO — five SCP branches in one app. • Korean branch (SCP-KO) added — now JP / EN / FR / RU / KO • Redesigned Library: long-press a favorite to file it into a folder, with a picker that shows each article's branch and language. Memos are now content-first cards with timestamps, and the toolbar is tidier. • Reader polish: full-width header images, more readable quotes in dark mode, and refreshed reader controls. • Scan faster: reading time and community rating now sit right next to the SCP number in search, with object class and tags below. Sort report feeds by number or by rating. • Easier browsing: explore Tales by author, plus a unified stories directory with refined category icons. • A cleaner share card, improved VoiceOver support, broader article data, and many fixes. Thanks for reading with us. We'd love your feedback.
