Shorty puts you in control of short-form video across YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and TikTok — all from one Safari extension. CHOOSE HOW YOU WATCH Pick a mode for each platform: • Default Player — the standard experience, with the option to hide distracting UI elements • Enhanced Player — native video controls with volume memory, so your volume carries between videos • Regular Player (YouTube) — automatically redirects Shorts to the full YouTube video player • Hide All — removes short-form video from your feed entirely, including sidebar links and shelf recommendations SET A DAILY TIME BUDGET Set a daily viewing limit in minutes. Shorty tracks your watch time and warns you at 75% and 90% with a dismissible banner. At 100%, a full-screen overlay blocks playback. You can snooze for 15 minutes or disable the limit for the day — but you have to confirm twice, so it's a deliberate choice, not an impulse. HIDE WHAT YOU DON'T NEED Strip away distractions on a per-platform basis: • Action buttons (like, comment, share) • Usernames and profile links • Captions and descriptions • Audio/music track info • Search buttons and suggested actions (YouTube) CONTROL AUTOPLAY Decide whether videos play automatically when they scroll into view, or wait for you to press play. Available on every platform. VIEW YOUR ACTIVITY See how much time you've spent watching, how many times videos loop, and which videos you've rewatched the most. Your data stays on your device — Shorty has no servers and no accounts. WORKS EVERYWHERE • YouTube Shorts • Instagram Reels • Facebook Reels • TikTok • Safari on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro PRIVACY FIRST Shorty has no analytics, no tracking, no ads, and no third-party SDKs. All data is stored locally on your device. Optional iCloud sync lets you share settings and watch history across your own devices — but it's off by default and nothing ever leaves Apple's ecosystem.
