If you get stuck or make a mistake, the built-in help will get you going again. The help explains the logical reasoning at each step, making it a great way to learn how to solve the puzzles. Use the help as much as you like, it’s also completely free. Even with so much free content, you won’t be bothered by ads - Sumaddle is completely ad-free!
What’s New
Version 1.58.1
More cunning added to the puzzle generator and a new setting for the size of numbers. All the changes in detail:
- New logic has been added to the puzzle generator, used when generating very difficult puzzles in Expert mode.
- More refinements to the way the puzzle generator estimates the difficulty of the new puzzles it generates.
- A new setting in the section “Layout & Appearance” makes it possible to adjust the size of the numbers in a puzzle. This setting works independently of the text size that is set on the device.
- The “dimmed” appearance for dark mode is a bit darker.
- More improvements to the way the help chooses where to show a hint. Steps involving just a small change to candidate values are selected according to where there is most benefit in preparing the way for a more significant step.
- Fix for an issue where an empty square would sometimes display a dotted block outline if a clue was tapped and the row or column had errors.
- The arrow for the help is more animated.
Version 1.58.1 also includes a fix for an issue where the help would sometimes not show a hint for certain cases of very difficult puzzles.

Perfect!
Love this game. Challenging, with no hand holding unless you ask for it. Hint system is great. My only wish is that the random play had a very-difficult only option.

Thanks One:27Co!😄 Your feedback about a very-difficult-only option is interesting. Will aim to provide some kind of way to give more control over the difficulty level in a future release!
UPDATE: I’m pleased to let you know that a new setting for Random Play has been introduced in version 1.31.0 which makes it possible to have harder (or easier) puzzles generated more often. If you are running in Expert play mode then the larger puzzles will be Very Difficult most of the time, and if you allow sum values to be hidden then it is possible for 5x5 puzzles to reach Very Difficult too. I hope the new setting is close to what you were looking for!

I like it. Reminds me of sudoku, but a bit harder

Hi Vrus25 and thank you for your positive review! You may be pleased to hear that all the puzzles in the Challenge Trail and Puzzle Sets can in fact be played again (and again, as many times as you like). The option to reset the puzzles can be found in the options menu, top right of screen in these sections.
If you're looking to replay the same puzzle that you only just played then you can always choose to clear it by tapping the reset button (with the X) instead of tapping the button with the chequered flag. It might also be useful to turn on the option in the settings to "show if sums add up correctly", which will let you see if the solution is looking good before you clear it.
The reason why there is no other simple way to replay the same puzzle immediately is because it would make it too easy to climb the leaderboard if players could go back and get a better score for the puzzle they just learnt how to solve.
