Time Sink helps you track how you spend your time on your Mac. It automatically logs opened windows and applications, and keeps track of how long you've spent using things in total (i.e. running), and in the foreground (i.e. actively using). It does this without any user intervention required to start or stop processes - it's just set-and-forget easy!
New ad-hoc timers even let you track time you spend away from your Mac, so you can capture your entire day.
You can view graphs showing your usage over time, sorted either by date and time (showing a logical view of your work habits), or by total and/or foreground time used, showing which apps and windows get most of your time. You can also create pools, which are groups of associated windows, to allow automatic tracking of activities -- put Safari, Firefox, and Chrome in a Browsers pool, for instance.
Data can also be exported manually or automatically, for further analysis in a spreadsheet or database program.

Worked great for the first week.

After the first week, the app bogged my computer down, I wasnt able to work anymore.. Took me a while to figure out that this app was using all the ram on my system just to maintain tracking. I spent a week or so trying to change settings to not kill my 2017 macbook pro, but nothing I did worked... I gave 3 stars cause it did what I wanted, I just couldnt use it cause the developers need to optimize the app!

This tool is wondeful! I'm the kind of guy who tends to procrastinate a bit too much on my computer and this App tells me where I procrastinated the most. This is awesome! The interface is non-intrusive and simply elegant as well. One thing I would like is added functionnality to warn you when you used an App for too long, or even quit it after X numbers of warnings. That would get me moving even better! :)Keep up the good work!-- Update:I have to say that after trying other time tracking software (RescueTime and TimeTrack), this one makes viewing time for a particular day difficult to get. I wish there was a way to display rough times for any day / week or month without checking so in the Activity Report. The Activity Report should have preset views as well as it is a bit difficult to use right now. Please include functions to quickly view each day / week / month separately. The only way I've found of making reading of time easier is to reset all timers from time to time but it defeat the purpose of statistics. I'm tempted to switch over to another solution but I'll give another chance to the developer. ;)
• Captured screenshots now avoid taking photos of the lock screen.
• Captured screenshots will no longer accumulate above the user-set limit.
• Report view is now sorted properly regardless of chosen date interval.
• All new in-app help.
