Early days but so far so good

This app is quite new and so there aren’t too many people on it yet. It works well though and I like the idea. I’ve done this sort of thing before, informally.

The app still works in the background when leave it I use other practice tools on my iPad. If I swap over to my practice journal, go to YouTube for backing tracks, etc., the timer stays on and I remain connected to the studio. Even if the iPad falls asleep the app continues to work.

I am curious about copyright though. I listen to recordings as part of my practice and naturally that is picked up by the microphone.

My criticisms would be:

- There is no support for landscape view and that means I can’t use my keyboard/stand and that when I switch over to other practice tools, I have to adjust the orientation. As I need to go back and forth this is pretty frustrating.

- The number of instruments listed is quite limited and mine is not an option, forcing me to choose “general”. I saw a few others under the “general” tag because their instruments are not listed. This makes finding a studio difficult.

- The avatars and rooms are cute but as an adult, it’s kind of silly and not really needed.

Great app

This is an absolute pleasure to use and it is a very good way to spread the love of music. We get inspired and inspire people. We find new ways of practising, we get comments, encouragements and we give them back. I had my first experience with coaching someone on the app and he improved so fast. The most amazing thing is that I was helping someone in Italy while I live near Montreal Quebec Canada. Congrats Ray and your developers team. I hope this stays free and that people will try it. It’s very much fun and a blast to use. 🥰
