Description
The Toyota App was developed to provide a convenient way to stay connected to your vehicle.
The following features are supported for select 2020 and newer Toyota vehicles. Enroll to activate or manage your vehicle’s Connected Services.
- Remotely start/stop your vehicle*.
- Lock/unlock your doors**.
- Last Parked Location: Using the in-app map, you can guide yourself to your vehicle’s last parked location.
- Guest Driver Settings: You can set predetermined parameters (speed, duration of trip) for Guest Drivers in your app. If any of your parameters are exceeded, you will be notified in the app.
- Vehicle Health Reports: Service Connect allows you to keep your Toyota in peak condition with Vehicle Health Reports, Warning Light Notifications and more.
Additionally, select 2022 and newer Toyota vehicles equipped with the Audio Multimedia system may support:
- Last Mile Navigation: Get directions sent from your vehicle to your smartphone via the Toyota App to get you the final steps of the way.
- My Destinations: Save your favourite destinations (like home or work) or search for one and send it directly to your vehicle’s Cloud Navigation from your Toyota App.
- User Profile: Create and customize your personal profile.
- Climate Control: You can adjust the cabin temperature, operate defrosters, heated steering wheel and heated seats remotely, using the app.
The following features are supported for select 2018 and newer Toyota:
- App Suite Connect: With the app connected to your vehicle via Bluetooth, you can access a wide variety of apps including NPR One, Yelp, LiveXLive, Fuel, Weather, Sports and more.
- Owner’s Manual & Warranty Guides: Access to your owner’s manual and warranty guides at your fingertips
- Dealer Locator: log in to the app and search for your closest Toyota Dealer and save your preferred Dealer for future reference.
- Service Scheduling: When it is time to schedule your next service appointment, you can click to call your Dealer in the app.
- Roadside Assistance: In the event that you need roadside assistance, you can click to call in the app.

Few Issues
No way I’d pay any money for this app. Has some neat features, but should be 100% included with the purchase of a new car.
Why does it take so long to do anything? Definitely not worth using to actually lock/unlock car.
Why can’t the Apple Watch app work independently of the phone app? Step 1: open Apple Watch app. “Please log into app on phone to use.” Huh? Step 2: pull out phone and open Toyota app. Step 3: use Apple Watch app. So dumb.
You have to force close the app when you’re done using because it drains your battery so fast. Useless.
Subscriptions Based
Super frustrated that you pay a lot of money to get a car starter installed that will have the ability to start with the app (selling. Feature for the company) and then after a year they make you pay $10 a month to be able to use it. Total crap that you pay for a car starter made by Toyota instead of a third party just to have the phone starting feature and then they start charging you monthly for it. I’ve already paid for the product so it’s just a money grab from the company to then have to pay monthly to even use it. Toyota is scamming people because I asked about a subscription at the dealership and they told me they don’t do that, even after I clarified never have to? And they said yup, we don’t do subscriptions. Lies. It’s all just lies to get your money.

I would never buy a Toyota again !!! There apps are terrible and totally useless!!!
