Description
Made for writers, by writers, Transom lets you capture and tag every little scrap of an idea so that you can easily find it whenever you're ready to write — without having to fumble through emails-to-self, messy notebooks, and clunky multi-purpose apps.
How it works: create a Thought to add it to your Transom notes. Easily add Tags and file it under a Project. When it's time to sit down and write, all those brilliant little gems will be right at your fingertips (and not buried in that old notebook — no, the other one. Or was it in an email?). Search by Tag, Project name, or use simple keyword search.
Once you've used a Thought, archive or delete it to declutter your list. And if you want to copy your Thoughts to something long-form, export a custom list of Thoughts as PDF, CSV, rich-text file.

Version 5.0
Steel your creative resolve and beat writer's block with our new, themed prompt packs. Purchase credits to unlock packs in a variety of themes and genres (the first one's on us). Check back often for new packs, including some co-created by published authors and experts in their field. Profits from the new Prompt Packs will go toward making our app better and ensuring that note-taking, tagging, searching, and filtering will remain free to use.
FYI: once purchased, a pack is yours forever. When you use all the available prompts in pack, it'll start back at the top.

Great question! We ask writers to log in so we can save your notes securely and confidently. The old version of our app relied on your phone’s local storage, but that meant if you lost your phone, you lost your notes.
Also, with a Transom login, you can use the app seamlessly across iOS devices.
But, hey, if you hate logging into stuff, I get it. I’m just sorry that Transom couldn’t be more useful to you.
Crashes instantly
Every time I try to open it, it crashes instantly. I'm excited about the idea behind this app and its design, though, and hope I can try out this app soon.
Great app
This is a lovely app, I'm glad someone finally made an app like this. There's lots of space to write, without having to pay extra like some apps. One thing that would be really nice though, is if there was an "Idea" section added in your projects, for random notes, instead of having to tack them on a chapter, when they might not even relate to that chapter. Other than that, great work!
