Plan a morning, an errand run or a wind-down as steps with a finish-by time. Tap Done on your phone or your wrist, and the next step comes right up.
The step you're on, and the time you plan to be done, side by side. NextStep turns getting ready, heading out or winding down into a short run of steps that you follow on iPhone or Apple Watch.
Each step counts down its own estimate. At zero, nothing skips ahead: the step waits for your tap on Done.
PLAN YOUR ROUTINE
• Up to 30 steps in a routine, each with a time estimate, a short note and an optional flag
• Set a finish-by time and watch the estimated finish while you work
• Start from a starter like Leave for work, Evening reset or Start a focus block, or make your own
• Break a task into steps: NextStep proposes steps and times from its own templates for familiar tasks and, on iPhones with Apple Intelligence, from the on-device model for other ones. You review each step before it's added
• Reorder, duplicate or archive your routines
• Recurring reminders prompt you at the time you set; a reminder won't start a routine by itself
MOVE THROUGH THE STEPS
• Done, Skip, Pause, Add 1 minute and End are always your choice
• Falling behind? Adjust plan lists the optional steps left and the minutes each would save. Skip a few, or change the finish time for this run only
• Pausing or adding a minute keeps your deadline where you set it, so its effect on the plan shows right away
WRIST, WIDGETS AND LOCK SCREEN
• The Apple Watch app can run saved routines by itself with your iPhone out of reach, then catches up on reconnecting
• An optional Live Activity follows routines you begin on iPhone and has a Done button for the current step
• The Home Screen widget shows the current step with a Done button, or your upcoming routine
• A Start routine control in Control Centre or on the Action button opens your upcoming routine so you can confirm it
• Watch complications show your progress at a glance
ESTIMATES THAT LEARN
• History lists the routines you finished or ended
• Once you have enough real runs, NextStep suggests step times from your own pace, and you pick which ones to keep
WITHOUT PRO
• Two saved routines, run as many times as you want
• Routine editing, reminders, widgets, the Live Activity, the Start routine control, seven days of history, time suggestions and file import and export
• Three tries of Break a task into steps
• Watch complications, if you already used NextStep before version 1.1
• A 45-second demo run kept out of your history
NEXTSTEP PRO
• Lifts the two-routine limit
• Complete history with planned and actual times compared
• Extra ready-made programs, such as Ready to go and A calmer evening, each one previewable before you buy
• Unlimited use of Break a task into steps
• Watch complications, if you first installed NextStep at version 1.1 or newer
• Should Pro end, your routines stay available to view, edit and run
• No paywall ever interrupts a routine in progress
STAYS ON YOUR DEVICES
Using NextStep requires no sign-up, displays no advertising and relies on no outside AI service; Apple Intelligence suggestions are produced on the iPhone itself. Routines and history stay on the devices running them, and you can export a file whenever you'd like a copy.
PRO PRICING AND RENEWAL
There are three ways to get Pro: monthly, yearly or a single lifetime purchase. The price where you live and the billing interval appear ahead of confirmation. The charge lands on your Apple Account. Monthly and yearly plans continue by themselves until you opt out of auto-renewal, which has to happen a full day before the current period ends because that's when the next charge is made. Subscription controls: open Settings and look beneath your name. Lifetime doesn't replace a plan you already hold; that plan keeps billing until you cancel it.

Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Version 1.1 helps you set up a routine sooner and follow it from more places.
• On a new install, a five-step setup lets you choose what NextStep should help with first, set a finish-by time, then review your first routine and start it
• Break a task into steps from the routine editor. NextStep suggests steps and times for common tasks; on iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the on-device model helps with other tasks. You check every step before it is added (three free tries, then Pro)
• Tap Done on the current step from the Home Screen widget or the Live Activity
• A Start routine control for Control Centre, the Lock Screen or the Action button opens your next routine, ready to confirm
• Siri and Shortcuts can mark a step done, skip a step or tell you what's next. Spotlight finds saved routines when step names aren't set to private
• Clearer VoiceOver labels, and layouts that hold up at the largest text sizes
• Watch complications are part of Pro for people who first installed NextStep at version 1.1 or later. Anyone who used NextStep before keeps them free
