Version 1.29
We made some important improvements to Wemo Accounts! A bug was fixed that was causing some users to be persistently logged out. We also added support for Apple Face ID and Touch ID. Now you can sign in to access your Wemos much faster. Head to your account settings to turn this feature on.
Ratings and Reviews
Just no
Didn’t realize the app hasn’t been updated in 3 years (at the time of this writing). Seems like Belkin has all but abandoned the product. Can’t add new switches to my account. HomeKit seems to have to no problem connecting to factory-reset switches, but I can’t update the firmware via HomeKit. I’d suggest avoiding until Belkin at least updates the app.
Horrible connectivity
These plugs work when they want. It’s rare you get more than a day of solid connectivity and functionality. No internet issue this is solely a Wemo problem. To make it worse, you can not report a problem. The reporting system will not send and I try every few days for about 4 months. Don’t waste your money.
Horrible
Avoid these like the plague. I bought 8 of these from Best Buy 24.04.2019 on sale for $25.00 each. Where to start. I installed 6 of these into the wall and began the setup. First one went great. But then it wanted a firmware update. I started the firmware up date and it hung. 2+hrs. I then erased the app and reset the switch. It started working. On to the next same deal. Had to reset after firmware update again then had to restart router and that knocked the first one off. I could not get it to reconnect. So every power failure and every router reboot will knock these offline. Good luck getting them going again. Also when you try and report a problem through the app it hangs. You need to reboot the app. Also it seem their web support is also offline. I tried going to their support and it’s down. I expected so much more from Belkin’s Wemo products. A huge disappointment. I’ll add that I’m not a novice by any stretch. Good luck and I would avoid.
