What we love: Creating impenetrable blockades. You never know what you’ll face in these procedurally generated worlds; perhaps a dense forest will form a natural choke point. Build a stone wall, line it with rapid-fire ballistae, and pity the poor invaders.

Quick tip: Take advantage of bond-effect bonuses. Having an archer, crossbow guard, and musketeer at the ready gives your units a sharpshooting buff that massively boosts their attack speed.

Meet the creator: Indie game studio ChillyRoom was inspired by traditional Chinese paintings and scrolls when crafting Inkvasion’s unique look. The game’s earliest prototype had players governing an entire planet, but the team pared it down to make it more manageable.
