It’s Quiz Time!

Create quizzes on the go

Who doesn’t love a good quiz, a chance to show your expert knowledge on a whole host of topics? But quizzes are also a great way of learning new things, and that’s why they’re a big part of many classroom and homework activities.

Kahoot is ideal not only for teachers who want to create tests in fresh and interesting ways, but also for students who need to challenge themselves with quizzes on a variety of topics. Get started in the app with these suggestions.

Include Surprise Subjects

Get your students really thinking with a surprise subject right in the first question; they may not know the correct answer, but it’s a great way to open up a discussion about a new topic. Then your next question is related to that subject and students can apply the new information they’ve learned.

Try different types of quizzes to engage students.

Add Fun Visuals

Understanding the zeitgeist and exploring different media types that correspond to the current mood of your classroom or group of students is important when trying to explain the subject matter. Search for GIFs and memes that will resonate with them, contextualize them with your lesson, and add them to your questions. So, for example, a meme of a cute kitten is the perfect lead to a question about why cats are able to see in the dark.

Play With Parents

Students can present a project to their parents and then create their own kahoot to challenge their parents’ performance and understanding of the topic. On the other hand, parents can create their own kahoots or work together with educators. Why not add some family photos to surprise the kids and keep them engaged?

Put your favourite subjects to the test and create your own unique, outstanding quizzes with Kahoot—it certainly keeps learning interesting.
