It’s Definitive

The goal will be familiar to word nerds: Lay down letters on the board to build words, aiming for special squares that multiply your score. Quick tip: You can tap any word to see its definition. (Did you know “jota” is a Spanish folk dance?)

It’s Analytical

Pull up the Cross Bot after a match to see your best plays and any higher-scoring moves you could have made. For example, you may have scored a respectable 21 points with “lied,” but “nonideal” would have netted 106 by hitting double- and triple-word scores.

It’s an Easy Match

Finding a worthy opponent is a snap—just tap “Match me now” to get paired with a player of similar skill. Or test your mettle against the computer in three difficulty levels. You can have multiple games going at once too!
