More reliable Voice Conversation and Translate, more honest answers about people, and layout fixes for large text.

Asking about someone without a question, like "Info about Scott von Gimborn" or just a name, now gets the same honest answer as a question would, instead of an invented life story. Voice Conversation now reads out the app's own answers, such as "I don't know who that is", instead of quietly going back to "Tap to talk", and no longer drops the last words of an answer. Voice Conversation and Translate no longer lose the last word you said, and Translate keeps names like "von Gimborn" as they are instead of turning them into "from Gimborn". The smallest model picks the right German words for pictures more often. Long-pressing a chat in the menu shows it on a clean card, and with large text the menu no longer scrolls under the status bar. Thank you for the detailed test reports.

Translate works better with large text: language names no longer break in the middle of a word, and the buttons switch cleanly when hands-free starts or stops, without overlapping the conversation. Thank you for the screenshots.

Voice Conversation and the hands-free conversation in Translate now hear you while you speak and answer as soon as you pause. Before, they could keep listening without ever answering. Recording summaries stick to what was said: no invented titles, stories or tasks. Very short recordings show the transcript instead of a summary. Describe Surroundings now describes when you tap Describe now, and only keeps going on its own when you turn on Keep describing. It tells you when the camera is covered or it's too dark, and answers in your language. The smallest models no longer invent a biography when you keep asking about someone they don't know, and they remember your name when you introduce yourself. Ask for the time or the date and you now get the real one from your iPhone. Small models used to make one up. Answers come in the language you write in, also when you ask about a photo. Asked who someone is, the smallest models now say when they don't know the person instead of inventing a life story, and AiGoodbye always says correctly who made it. With larger text, the chat title no longer sits on top of the answer, the chat list in the menu has room again, and its rows are bigger and easier to tap. The screen stays on while a model downloads, so the download no longer crawls when the phone locks, and the progress says clearly that the model is downloading. Better answers on iPhones with 4 GB of memory, like iPhone SE. Qwen3.5 Vision 0.8B now comes in full 8-bit quality and is the recommended model there: in our tests it got almost every simple sum right and reads text in photos much better. The 4-bit version stays as Qwen3.5 Vision 0.8B Lite for devices with less memory. Small models also get shorter instructions that help them work sums out step by step, and a note in the chat reminds you that they often get facts wrong. Faster, sturdier model downloads in mainland China. AiGoodbye now downloads straight from ModelScope there instead of waiting for Hugging Face, and tries ModelScope's second address if the first one fails. Downloads that work in more places. Where Hugging Face can't be reached, as in mainland China, AiGoodbye now downloads the same models from ModelScope instead, and checks every file against the original before using it. Everywhere else, downloads come from Hugging Face as before.
