Corps Protect is more than an app, it is a 24/7 personal security service.
Corps Protect is activated by simply shaking or tapping the smartphone. This immediately sends an alert notification to CorpsSecurity and designated emergency contacts via SMS and email detailing an exact GPS location.
Personnel working in a wide variety of industries – from transport and finance to local councils and healthcare – can take advantage of Corps Protect. The ability to turn a phone into a safety device also negates the purchase and use of traditional personal alarm systems, which makes it highly cost effective.
Users can log into the Corps Protect website to manage their accounts, update their profiles and view all of their alerts. They can also diarise their activities so that colleagues, family and friends can find out where they will be at any given time. For example, an estate agent that is due to show a potential purchaser around a house can arrange for a notification to be sent after the meeting is due to finish. If the alarm time needs to be extended a simple push of a button can postpone it in 15-minute intervals.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
