A dive isn't a pin — it's a path. Entry and exit GPS on the map, Wonders where the ocean shows off, photos that become species. The dive log that remembers.
A dive isn't a row of numbers. It's a memory — a path through the water, the wreck's story, the fish you can name now, what the ocean was doing that day. DeepSix Dive Log treats it that way.
DeepSix Dive Log is a native dive log for the Apple ecosystem: iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, with an Apple Watch Ultra companion. Your logbook lives on your devices and syncs through your own iCloud. No account. No DeepSix copy of your dive log.
YOUR DIVE IS A PATH, NOT A PIN
DeepSix was the first dive log to extract both entry and exit GPS from Shearwater dive computers — plotted together on the map, so a drift dive finally looks like what it was. Bluetooth download across 12 transport families, built on libdivecomputer; wired USB/serial import on the Mac; Garmin FIT and Suunto JSON too. Arm dive-day GPS tracking and the whole day becomes a route. Dives recorded on Apple Watch — the Depth app included — come in from Health and get their depth profile.
WONDERS — WHERE THE OCEAN SHOWS OFF
A curated catalog of genuinely remarkable underwater places, with real narratives — surfaced the moment a dive of yours lands near one. Near is near; having witnessed it is yours to claim. No other dive log has this.
WRECKS, WITH THEIR WHOLE STORY
29,000+ curated diveable wrecks from national heritage registers on every continent, with offline coverage, historical dossiers, period-correct ensigns, and honest position-uncertainty rings. War graves are presented as something you honor, not trivia. Contribute corrections from inside the app; a person reviews every one.
PHOTOS BECOME SPECIES
Critter Expert identifies around 500 marine species entirely on your device — free, no account, no API key, no internet after a one-time 63 MB download. Region-gated, so it won't suggest a Caribbean fish in Palau, and nothing is ever confirmed for you. Names are verified against the World Register of Marine Species, with threatened-species status and invasive-species reporting built in — over time, your photos become a naturalist's logbook. Want the full range? Bring your own AI key (Anthropic or OpenAI) or a model on your own Mac — never a DeepSix charge.
THE COLORS YOU ACTUALLY SAW
Underwater photos come back blue. DeepSix knows how deep you were when you pressed the shutter — it reads the depth off your dive profile at the photo's timestamp — and whether the water was tropical blue, green or fresh, and restores the reds the water absorbed. Camera-aware, with GoPro red-filter compensation. Preview on a single pad, then apply to one photo or the whole dive; corrections land in Apple Photos as revertible adjustments, never as copies. Video too, frame by frame as your depth changes. Free, on-device, nothing uploaded.
WHAT WAS THAT DAY ACTUALLY LIKE?
Tide state at your entry minute. Moon phase, sea temperature, swell, bleaching alerts, reef context from the Allen Coral Atlas and NOAA. Years later, the record answers what memory can't. Plus a 7-day conditions planner for the dives still ahead.
BUILT HONEST
Gas analysis that names its excluded dives. Deco shown as information, not alarm, when you dive tech. "Dives near" instead of inflated counts. Full-fidelity UDDF and Subsurface export, always free — lossless backup, the open .deepsixarchive format, and SQL and JSON exports any developer can build on. Your dive log will outlive any app, including ours.
Smart Lists, gear and kits with service tracking, achievements with earned dates replayed correctly, trips and a liveaboard planner round out the log.
MacDive user? A high-fidelity import brings your dives, gear, photos, and dive-computer profiles across.
DeepSix collects nothing unless you choose to send it: a wreck, a photo, a bug report. The privacy policy at deepsixdive.com/privacy names every server we run and exactly what each one sees.
