Formatista

Convert any video to MP4

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Convert WMV, AVI, MKV, FLV, WebM and more to MP4 — one video or a whole batch, right on your iPhone. No uploads, no accounts, no tracking. Formatista turns videos your iPhone can't play into MP4s it can — and saves them straight to Photos. Got a WMV from an old camera, an FLV from years ago, a WebM from the web, or an MKV that won't open? Pick it, and Formatista converts it right on your device. No uploads, no accounts, no waiting on a server. GET YOUR VIDEOS IN • Pick one video — or a whole batch — from your Photos library • Import from Files, iCloud Drive, or any connected storage provider • Share a video to Formatista from another app, or use Open in Formatista • Paste a direct link to a video file WIDE FORMAT SUPPORT WMV, AVI, MKV, FLV, WebM, MOV, M4V, 3GP, ASF and more. Formatista uses Apple's fast native engine whenever it can, and a full FFmpeg-based engine for everything else. MAKE IT YOURS • Quality presets: Original, 720p phone-friendly, or smallest file • Advanced: pick resolution, bitrate, and H.264 or HEVC • Trim to just the part you want • Rotate and crop • Extract the audio as M4A HISTORY Your last 20 conversions stay in History, so you can share them or save them again without converting twice. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Every conversion happens on your iPhone or iPad. Formatista collects no data, has no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. It only asks for "add-only" Photos access, so it can save your video without ever seeing the rest of your library. Built for iOS 26 with Liquid Glass, full light and dark mode, Dynamic Type, and VoiceOver support. Available in English, German, Spanish, French and Japanese.
