Skipper Science App

Skipper Science Partnership

Free · Designed for iPad

The Skipper Science app enables fishermen to report data such as jellyfish and algae blooms, abnormalities, fish stomach contents, entanglements, and marine debris, sea surface temperature, marine mammal interactions, etc. simply and easily from their phones while on the water. Targeted data collection forms available through the app enable in-depth and structured data on environmental and fisheries priorities identified by fishermen, fisheries scientists, and fisheries managers. Data can be logged regardless of internet access through the Skipper Science app and then can be uploaded when Wi-Fi connection is available. For more information on the Skipper Science Partnership, please contact us at info@skipperscience.org. Add your voice to a community of fishermen advocating for healthy and thriving fisheries!
