Description

Artificial Intelligence Rose Identification App for Offline Use.

Easy to use! Simply hold up your smartphone to the rose whose variety you want to know.
The artificial intelligence will determine the rose's variety and provide you with its name.
Currently, the app can identify 339 varieties of roses primarily based on the roses from the Jindai Botanical Garden and Kyu-Furukawa Gardens.
The identification results can be saved on your smartphone by taking a photo, or shared on social media.

Recommended for:

Those who want to know the varieties of roses blooming in parks or along walking paths.
Those who want to take photos of roses and save them along with the variety names.
Those who want to share photos of roses with their friends along with the variety names.

Two simple modes:
Search Mode: Identifies and displays the names of rose varieties (multiple roses allowed) captured on the smartphone screen, one after another.
Photo Mode: Focuses on a single rose, capturing both the rose and its variety name together.

About the Development:
Baranona is an artificial intelligence app developed by Chiba Institute of Technology's Artificial Intelligence and Software Technology Research Center (STAIR Lab). Just as infants learn the names of things by being taught by people around them, computers can now learn the names of things by being shown numerous examples. The key lies in extensive training data and deep learning. Baranona was developed using approximately 95,000 images of roses collected with the cooperation of the Tokyo Metropolitan Park Association and users of Jindai Botanical Gardens' app "JindaiBaraKore" and Kyu-Furukawa Gardens' app "Kyu-Furukawa BaraKore".
