Is money the only motivation here?

I love the concept of the app, it’s the same as the "find me gluten free app" (which is free btw). But the prizes for the app are just insane. Is your real motivation to accommodate infos about places to eat for gluten intolerant people or is it just the money? 200.- for a year and 500.- for lifetime is crazy. I know that creating an app is expensive but rather get rid of the fancy design and just make it possible for more people to use it, as it’s such a helpful thing for making life with celiac a bit easier. EVERYTHING for a celiac-safe diet is more expensive: all the GF-labeled products, eating out and making sure it’s really GF and safe. Y’all need more people to use your app to make it useful. So it’s in your own interest to make it less expensive and more attractive for people to use it. Till then: I’ll happily use "find me gluten free" with 20.- for a year and way more recommendations in the app, as there are way more users. Maybe because of the prize?

Way too expensive

Generally, the app has a great concept. However, the price is way to high. As a person with coeliac desease, I already pay more for food, eating out etc. I just simply can‘t and I am not willing to pay that amount of money. I‘m outraged and sad that an App, which was created to help people with an illness, makes profit at the expense of the sick. Also, the amount of data that is collected about health, contacts, used data, personal info etcetera is alarming.

Hi Senazoje, we ask you questions about your gluten-free "practices" so we can keep fine-tuning the map and the information we offer to help you, it really is that simple. Here's why our app is subscription based: we have a dedicated data team that does the research for you, we have a restaurant vetting program, we work with celiac healthcare professionals, and our moderators review and vet community feedback daily. There's a 7-day free trial, we'd love it if you would try it out and let us know what you think! support@atly.com

- On iOS 27 you can turn on location again: the Gluten Free map, Atly Plus Home and sign-up now ask for it properly. - Fixed the Subscription screen's buttons when you open it from the Gluten Free map or a search on Home. On that screen, Restore Purchases now tells you when there was nothing to restore. - The come-back offer now mentions a free trial only when your account can get one. - While Atly searches, you'll see more varied status lines.
