Why choose podcasts to learn languages?

These points basically summarize the benefits of using podcasts to learn languages, but the reality is that I encountered a pain point in the process of practicing podcasts to learn languages, that is, my vocabulary is too small, and many podcasts do not provide text, even if they do. The text and word search process will also be very cumbersome, so I made this app, hoping to make this matter simpler.
I can't prove to you that this learning method is scientifically effective, nor can I give you any commitment to learning outcomes. I think this may just be an attempt. I hope to find users who are interested in this "method" and can learn from them. I got some recognition or suggestions there, and I hope it will be a useful tool for those friends who are already trying to learn languages in this way.

If you learn the language using immersion, THIS is an app you need. Transcripts of the podcasts, dictionary lookup, search for podcasts by country, statistics of how much you listened today and which words you looked up. Besides it features space repetition system to review those words. Sometimes I also use ai explanations, pretty handy for understanding the word or phrase in their context.I hope the creator will continue working on UX of the app and continue using the app. I recommend it to everyone.

Aisten is one of three podcast players that are made with language learner in mind.I am learning Japanese using The Moe Way and Refold methods where they advice listening a lot of native level podcasts. The problem with podcasts is that there's usually no subtitles and you can miss out words or be completely lost. Plus, often times I want to save the new words I heard in a podcast. The transcription quality is not amazing, but it's at least a YouTube level of quality. The dictionary lookups use pretty high quality dictionaries. There are statistics of how many hours of podcasts you listened each day. The AI assistant is surprisingly handy when the word is not in the dictionary and you need explanation in context. All and all, I see that this team understands what kind of tools us, immersion learners, need.
