TreeRings 3.0 introduces a major upgrade to ring analysis: - Improved detection of closely spaced and irregular rings. - Better handling of challenging photos, with clearer uncertainty messages. - Clear gaps where yearly measurements cannot be estimated reliably. Yearly scores compare relative ring growth within the tree. Calendar-year labels are approximate.

This update improves tree ring analysis reliability. TreeRings now performs stronger checks before reporting an age, including automatic trunk center detection and comparison between multiple ring detection methods. The app can now also analyze tree trunk images selected from your photo library. If an image is unclear or does not look like a tree cross-section, TreeRings will avoid giving an unreliable estimate.

Version 2.0 adds a new Yearly Growth Curve, improved Good/Average/Poor year scoring, and replaces Planting Year with Cutting Year for easier reporting. Also includes visual polish, icon refinement, and stability improvements.
