Version 4.2.0 - Weather data sources — Apple Weather remains the default. You can also use Google Weather or OpenWeather (via Weather4Fly servers). Switch anytime in Settings or during setup. - Live airport & drone catalogs — Newer airport databases and drone profiles can arrive from Weather4Fly servers without waiting for an App Store update. Check for updates in Settings. - Reliable fallback — If a remote source is unavailable, the app falls back to on-device Apple Weather so flight weather stays available. - Stability & refinements — Smoother refresh behavior when changing weather sources, plus wind/gust handling improvements for remote forecasts.

- New drone model added: Antigravity A1 - Bugfix

Weather4Fly 4.0 brings a clearer, calmer flight-planning experience to iPhone—redesigned for quick, one-handed checks with less scrolling. - Redesigned Hourly tab with a compact flight status, glass metric chips, and a fixed time scrubber with drone and location controls - Redesigned Forecast tab using the same visual language, with a day scrubber and an expandable 9-day outlook - Smarter wind assessment: Wind Speed and Wind Gust are evaluated independently, and the Hourly status reflects the most significant visible risk - Customizable drone profiles: view the built-in specifications for drones in your hangar, personalize their limits, and restore the original catalog values at any time - Smarter notifications with fresher flight bulletins, improved weather-alert accuracy, and better protection against stale or duplicate alerts - Dutch (Nederlands) language support, refined with community feedback (Thanks to Rob Heesakkers from NL) - Smoother scrubbing and thoughtful refinements throughout Hourly and Forecast Fly safer. Plan smarter.

Smoother scrolling and a clearer wind readout on Hourly and Forecast. - Redesigned wind section: separate chips for wind speed, gust, and direction - Independent safety colours for speed and gust so you can see which limit matters - Quick access to Wind by Altitude from the direction chip - 24-hour and 9-day outlook charts are now view-only — scroll the page without accidentally scrubbing the timeline - Knots added as a wind speed unit in Settings (alongside km/h, mph, and m/s) - Cleaner single-unit display — no more dual unit clutter under wind values Thanks for flying with Weather4Fly.

Improvements - What's New screen — Polished how update highlights are shown, so you'll always catch new features without missing a beat. - Units — Added a dedicated Distance setting (Metric km/m ↔ Imperial mi/ft) alongside Temperature and Wind Speed, so altitude and distance readings now display exactly the way you prefer. - Tools tab — Fixed moon phase and GPS status labels to properly follow your selected app language instead of showing in English.

We've given our databases a major refresh: - Expanded drone library — Added new brands (Anzu Robotics, Blade, Bwine, DEERC) plus dozens of previously missing models from DJI, Autel, Parrot, Skydio, Yuneec, Potensic, Hubsan and Fimi. The library now covers 140+ aircraft, so it's even more likely your exact drone is ready to pick. - Updated airport database — Refreshed airport and runway data for more accurate proximity and airspace information, including corrected runway changes at major airports. - Reliability improvements and minor fixes.

Weather4Fly 3.5 — Clearer, bolder, more trustworthy We rebuilt the look and the logic behind every flight verdict: - Bolder light mode. The Hourly and Forecast screens now have richer color and higher contrast, so conditions read at a glance — indoors or in bright sun. - Consistent safety signals. The Safe to Fly / Caution / No Fly verdict, the metric tiles, the timeline, the 24-hour chart, and the Apple Watch now all speak the same color language. One verdict, one color, everywhere. - Stale-data protection. Old or expired weather is now clearly flagged, so a no-longer-current "Safe to Fly" can never be mistaken for a live reading. - Smarter alerts. Weather alerts and the Tools summary now respect your selected drone's wind limits instead of fixed thresholds. - Refined details. Reworked K-index (geomagnetic) labels, clearer wind & gust readouts, priority-based airspace/NOTAM colors, and many polish fixes. Fly informed. Fly safe.

Improved weather alert reliability, including better handling for K-Index flight condition warnings. This update also refines notification behavior so important flight-weather alerts are surfaced more consistently.

New in Weather4Fly 3.4: - Mission Briefing: Review flight status, key risks, weather conditions, and pre-flight checks in one place. - K-Index Alerts: Weather Alerts can now notify you when K-Index reaches 4 or higher. - Wind by Altitude refinements for clearer altitude-level wind guidance. - Improved Premium access reliability.

- Improved Wind by Altitude: choose which altitude levels are shown and sort them by height. - Wind gust estimates are now more closely aligned with Apple Weather data for a more realistic altitude view. - Wind and gust color indicators have been refined to better match drone limits and reduce overly strict warnings.

Minor interface improvements.

- iPad layout support added. - Added more flexible wind speed unit options (m/s unit added). - Fixed wind value display issues on compact layouts.

Version 3.3 refines the flight weather experience with a redesigned wind card, clearer wind speed and gust details, knots support, improved Wind by Altitude views, and smoother Hourly and Forecast scrubbers. This update also adds first-launch preferences for measurement units and 12/24-hour time format, so the app feels more familiar from the first run.

Version 3.1.1 includes a maintenance fix for NOTAM data loading. Restored FAA NOTAM loading after recent FAA NMS response format changes. Improved NOTAM date parsing compatibility. Improved handling of FAA NOTAM fields that may now arrive in multiple formats. Improved weather data refresh and caching reliability to ensure forecasts stay accurate when switching locations.
