Your movies, shows and live TV, beautifully played on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro. Strand brings everything you already have into one calm, fast home screen, and plays it the way it was meant to look and sound. Strand is a player. It doesn't include any content: connect your own media server, network share or TV provider to get started. - YOUR LIBRARY, ALL IN ONE PLACE Connect Jellyfin, Emby and Plex servers, or browse a WebDAV share. Artwork, cast, ratings and episode details are added automatically, and your collections appear exactly as you organised them. - LIVE TV WITH A REAL GUIDE Add an M3U playlist and its TV guide and get a fast, scrollable programme guide with channel search, favourites and reminders. Rewind with catch-up where your provider offers it, and record shows with a compatible recording server. - MULTIVIEW Watch up to four channels at once, and swap the sound between them with one tap. - CINEMA-GRADE PLAYBACK 4K with Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG. Dolby Atmos and lossless multichannel surround sound. Plays MKV, MP4 and more without converting anything, with matched frame rates on Apple TV. - SUBTITLES YOUR WAY Styled ASS/SSA and PGS subtitles, sizes and fonts you can tune per device, and subtitle search in your language when a file doesn't have the one you want. - PICK UP ANYWHERE Continue Watching and Up Next follow you between devices. Sync your history with Trakt or Simkl, or keep it private on your devices with iCloud. - MADE FOR EVERY SCREEN A Home screen you arrange yourself, Top Shelf on Apple TV, Picture in Picture on iPhone, iPad and Mac, downloads for watching offline, and a private theatre on Apple Vision Pro. - THE EXTRAS Skip intros and recaps, identify the song that's playing, Kids Mode with a passcode, and a TV guide that remembers what you watched last. - STRAND PRO Start with a 7-day free trial of Monthly or Yearly, or unlock Strand for life with a single purchase that's shared with your Family Sharing group. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings. • Search: browse by category, decade and genre right from the Search tab. • Radio: a Radio shelf on Home, the song that's playing on every station, and your stations in CarPlay. • Live TV: a Recently Watched row in the player, your channel groups as TV Guide shelves, Multiview straight from Recently Watched, and search that finds channels by their guide names. • Strand Pro: subscribers can upgrade to Lifetime from Settings, and you can link your purchase for a supporter badge on our Discord. • Detail pages: Cast is now Credits, with directors and writers. • iPhone: a screen lock for when kids are watching. • Subtitles: a cleaner default look, and a brightness setting for HDR. • Share Setup: share it as a file, and include a playlist's channel setup. • Sports: the LPGA Tour has its own league. • Media servers: new versions of a film show up sooner, and multi-episode files play every episode. • Continue Watching follows Trakt and Simkl more closely, including shows you've dropped. • Smoother recovery when a stream stalls or after a long pause, and Live TV's rewind cache uses less storage. • Fixed Decades and Genres folders that had stopped filling, plus lots of smaller fixes.
