With the Medgate App, you have the doctor with you at all times. The App offers you simple, fast and secure access to comprehensive medical care by phone, video or chat. Medgate has more than 100 doctors who take time for you and provide you with competent advice and treatment. Patients benefit from Medgate's 20 years of experience in the field of digital health and telemedicine.

This is how telemedicine treatment works:

Security
Security is a top priority for the Medgate Partner Network. That is why the Medgate App also places particular emphasis on guaranteed data protection. The user's identity is verified with a process that makes use of an identity card. The Medgate App is a medical product with CE certification.
Medical data is not transmitted to the health insurance company. Medgate is the manufacturer, distributor and operator of the App. Medical services are provided by members of the Medgate Partner Network.

Costs
The consultation is billed via the health insurance company in the context of statutory benefits (analogous to a visit to a doctor's office) and is recognized by all Swiss health insurers. A teleconsultation costs on average CHF 50. In certain insurance models, there are no costs related to franchises or deductibles.

Germany

The German Medgate app offers the following advantages:

• initial medical assessment of the patient during the telemedical consultation
• Avoidance of unnecessary doctor consultations
• Consultation and treatment by experienced medical specialists
• Issuance of prescriptions, incapacity certificates, referrals and prescriptions
• Summary of the doctor's consultation and treatment plan directly in the app
• Deposit of the favorite doctors

Privately insured patients can book a video consultation and submit the invoice (GOÄ) to their private health insurance as usual.
