Resolver Race
Dienstprogramme
Kostenlos · Entwickelt für iPad. Nicht für macOS überprüft.
Your DNS resolver decides how fast every web page starts loading - and the one your network handed you may not be the quickest, or the most honest. Resolver Race finds out in a couple of minutes.
It benchmarks dozens of public DNS resolvers from your iPhone, on the network you're actually using, and ranks them by real measured speed.
RACES EVERY KIND OF DNS
- Classic DNS over IPv4 and IPv6
- DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH)
- DNS-over-TLS (DoT)
- Your current DNS server, included automatically for comparison
THREE REAL-WORLD TESTS
- Cached: a name the resolver already knows, for pure round-trip speed
- Uncached: a name it has never seen, so it must do the full lookup
- New .com: a domain that doesn't exist, timing the .com path
MORE THAN JUST SPEED
- Finds which resolvers are actually reachable before timing anything
- Detects when your router answers in a resolver's place instead of the real thing
- Checks DNSSEC validation, and whether it is genuinely enforced
- Flags resolvers that redirect domains that don't exist to ad pages
- Shows what each resolver blocks: ads, adult content, malware
- Measures how close the content servers each resolver hands you really are
BUILT TO BE TRUSTED
Everything runs on your device. No accounts, no analytics, no servers of ours - results never leave your phone unless you export them yourself.
FREE, WITH A ONE-TIME UPGRADE
Free includes five resolvers, six queries per test and one run per race - enough to see whether your current DNS is holding you back. Resolver Race Pro is a single purchase, yours for life with no subscription: the full resolver catalogue, up to 60 queries per test, repeat runs up to 100 times for rock-solid averages, and all the trust, filtering and content-speed checks.
Inspired by the classic desktop DNS benchmarks, rebuilt for iPhone.
