Two-factor authentication with the SwissID App increases the security of your SwissID account when logging into an online service. But that’s far from all! With the SwissID App, you can identify yourself quickly, easily and securely via your mobile phone anytime, anywhere. The SwissID App and its use are also free of charge.
Your advantages at a glance
• Two-factor authentication
In addition to the password, the SwissID App increases the security of your SwissID account. When you log in to an online service, you receive a login request on your mobile phone. Simply swipe on the screen to confirm or reject it. So, you have full control of your login requests.
• Identity check
Do you need proof of identity? With the SwissID App, you can identify yourself quickly, easily and securely via your mobile phone anytime, anywhere. Simply scan your valid identification document and record a video of your face.

Idee gut - Umsetzung mangelhaft
Die App wäre von der Grundidee super, allerdings ist die Interaktion mit anderen Apps, Browser katastrophal. Ständig muss man sich mehrfach mit eMail und Password anmelden weil das Handover zwischen den Apps nicht klappt. Gefühlt musste ich mich schon fünf mal neu registrieren und PIN setzen. Die einzige Funktion der App ist somit nicht zufriedenstellend erfüllt.
Hangs with a blank white screen on start
It worked again after many months of crashing, then the app got rewritten, and since then it fails to start. The new app seems to require the Google tracking apparatus to launch at all.

Funktioniert nicht wie es sollte
Seit einigen Wochen nur noch eine Katastrophe.
Hands-On / Handshake zwischen den Apps funktioniert nicht mehr, man muss jedesmal den Prozess abbrechen und eine Alternative Verifizierung wählen, mit Sms funktioniert es dann teilweise.
App deinstalliert, neu Installiert und wen wunderts… nicht geht mehr die Anmeldung innerhalb der App funktioniert nicht, weder über Mobile ID noch über sms. Man kann zwar mail und die jeweilige Autentifizierungsmethode anwählen und ausführen, angemeldet wird man jedoch nicht und man bleibt auf der Swiss ID Website hängen.
Unterdessen ist die App Nutzlos.
Schade aber da geht aktuell nichts mehr.
