VU202 is a performance-focused sampler for iPhone and iPad, built for fast sound design, pattern creation, and hands-on beat making. Import your own samples, record directly into pads, or resample processed sounds to create new layers and textures. Shape every sound with trim, attack and decay editing, pitch control, reverse playback, loop modes, and multiple effect stages. Build rhythms in Pattern Mode, switch between patterns instantly, and arrange full ideas in Song Mode. Use pad effects for detailed sound design, then process groups and the full mix with bank and master FX. Bounce effected sounds into new samples to stack processing and push ideas further. VU202 1.1 Update Added pad renaming in the pad context menu. Changed project loading to use the Projects list directly instead of reopening the last folder used in Source browsing. Updated Trim Play so it now follows each pad’s Trigger/Gate setting. Expanded stem export to include full choke-bank stems when a bank has CHOKE enabled. Added save/export status messages in the footer so successful and failed actions are now visible. Improved Pattern view step highlighting for the currently playing step. Prevented accidental sample recording onto empty pads while copy mode is active. Improved pad copy behavior: copy now happens on destination press one source pad can be copied to multiple destinations while held context-menu copy flow is now aligned with direct hold-copy behavior Fixed pad rename edge cases so default pad titles are not incorrectly saved as custom labels. Fixed Trim Play release behavior so trigger pads are no longer cut off on button release. (it depends on pad settings) Fixed per-pad FX isolation so one pad’s insert effect does not affect unrelated pads. Fixed empty-pad pattern playback so empty steps do not create false note triggers.
