Crit Alarm turns important notifications into alarms that keep ringing until you acknowledge them. Normal notifications are easy to miss. They can arrive silently, get buried by Focus or Do Not Disturb, or disappear with one sleepy swipe. Crit Alarm is built for the alerts that really cannot wait. WHAT IT IS FOR Use Crit Alarm whenever something is important enough to wake you up. That could be: • A production outage or server monitoring alert • A security or smart home automation event • A failed backup, overnight job, or scheduled task • A sensor, webhook, script, or personal automation • Anything else where “I’ll see it in the morning” is not good enough Crit Alarm gives your servers, scripts, webhooks, monitoring tools, automations, and connected systems a direct way to trigger an alarm on your phone. If it can send a request, it can wake you up. HOW IT WORKS 1. Create a topic in Crit Alarm and copy its token. 2. Send an alert from your webhook, script, monitor, automation, or service. 3. Crit Alarm triggers a full-screen alarm on your phone, even in silent mode or Do Not Disturb. 4. The alarm keeps ringing until you tap Acknowledge. No digging through notification history. No hoping you heard one vibration at 3am. The alarm works from the lock screen and can survive a device restart. FOR DEVELOPERS AND AUTOMATIONS Crit Alarm works especially well with: • Server monitoring and uptime tools • DevOps and on-call workflows • Webhooks and REST APIs • Home automation systems • Cron jobs and scheduled scripts • Backup and deployment jobs • Custom alerts and personal automations You decide what deserves to wake you up. FREE Use two critical topics on five devices, with up to 50 critical alerts per day and seven days of alert history. CRIT ALARM HOSTED Get unlimited critical topics on five devices, with up to 1,000 critical alerts per day and 90 days of history. No plan, including Free, limits how long an alarm rings or how often it repeats. SELF-HOSTED Prefer running your own infrastructure? The Crit Alarm server is open source and self-hostable. Point the app at your own server and use Crit Alarm without hosted plan limits, usage caps, or billing. The paid hosted plan is optional. PRIVACY Analytics and crash reporting are off by default.
