On the Duo it looks like a book, and a single sided manuscript on the iPhone. - Prefer a simple swipe? Choose Swipe under Appearance → Page turns. The choice is saved per book, and existing choices are preserved.

Bring your books and comics from Bookorbit, Komga, or Calibre, and give your books a new look on Duo. - New Bookorbit and Komga support: browse, search, and download through OPDS catalogs, including OPDS 2. - Read CBZ and CBR comics, with covers, page navigation, and a saved reading place. - Add comics from Files or download them from your own book library. CBR files are converted on your device, with their original page images preserved. - Improved catalog compatibility and sign-in error messages. Books without embedded titles or authors now use the details from your catalog. - New on iPhone Duo with iOS 27.1 or later: choose a custom book cover from six gallery images, or use your own from Photos or Files. - Choose three classic book designs, a Sony Walkman, an animated pager, or an animated clickwheel iPod. On Duo, you can also opt in to showing your cover on the outer screen while reading.

Get books straight from Calibre, read more kinds of books, and make LightReadr feel at home on Duo. - Tap + and choose Get Books from Calibre. LightReadr finds the Calibre library on your computer over Wi‑Fi, with nothing to type. - Browse or search your library and tap Get to add a book. Books already on your shelf are marked In Library. - More of your books work now, including PDFs, whether they come from Calibre or the Files app. - New Duo support, with reading layouts that adapt to your device's open and folded positions, and comfortable spacing around the hinge. - Make your library your own: choose a custom book cover from Photos or Files, and restore the original whenever you like. - On Duo with iOS 27.1 or later, try the optional Show cover outside setting in Book Cover. It uses camera access and is off by default.

You can use the feature on a iPhone 14 and below, but audio quality may suffer. Duration-Pacing Fix: Fixed duration-pacing calculations so estimated reading times and progress tracking remain accurate across all speeds.

This update improves the safety and reliability of EPUB imports, including better handling of damaged or interrupted files. It also adds an optional Product Insights setting, off by default, that helps guide improvements without sending your books, text, audio, or saved reading position.
