Built on the science of how memory actually works
Memtend uses spaced repetition — one of the most well-studied
techniques in cognitive science. The core insight: reviewing
something just before you forget it is dramatically more effective
than reviewing it over and over. Memtend calculates the exact right
moment to show you each card, based on how well you knew it last
time. The result is a review schedule that's efficient, adaptive,
and compounds over time. You spend less time studying and remember
more — permanently.
AI that turns any topic into a deck in seconds
The hardest part of building a memory practice is making the cards.
Memtend eliminates that friction. Describe anything you want to
learn — a concept from a book, a medical topic, a programming
pattern, a period of history — and AI generates a set of
ready-to-study flashcards for you. Review the drafts, keep what
fits, and add them to your deck in one tap. What used to take an
hour takes thirty seconds.
Cards that know how well you know them
After each review, you rate your recall: Again, Hard, Good, or
Easy. Memtend uses that signal to recalculate when each card comes
back. Cards you struggle with return quickly. Cards you know well
get spaced out to weeks, then months. As a card reaches longer and
longer intervals, it moves through maturity stages — New, Learning,
Review, and finally Mastered (a 21-day interval or more). Mastered
means the knowledge is yours.
A dashboard that shows your memory growing
Track your total deck size, what's due today, how many cards you've
mastered, and your overall accuracy. Tap any metric to see exactly
which cards sit behind it. Over time, watching your Mastered count
climb is one of the most satisfying things in the app.
Review reminders that keep the habit alive
Memtend schedules smart notifications when cards are due — nudging
you to do five minutes of review rather than letting knowledge
drift.
