NRICH is an app for young people. We shall publish articles that provide the context for debates that explore the changes and influences shaping our world. All resources are created by our in-house team to help promote critical thinking, real-world knowledge, and logical engagement. They are meant for children and young adults with open minds – those who will shape the world ahead. The app targets enrichment and empowerment of students globally. The app publishes fun, informative articles that are short and concise but captures the imagination of young minds and encourages them to think about the issues behind the topic. The app promotes and follows a six-step process for discovery – Connect (how does one feel about the story), Wonder (what questions does one have), Investigate (what are the facts), Construct (what influences one’s point of view), Express (what do others believe), and Reflect (what might happen next). Each article will address complex and serious issues of present-day importance, ranging from contemporary topics in science, math, sports, geography, history, and politics. But the articles will not espouse any one point of view or promote any opinions. It will encourage young readers to reflect on the facts and form their own opinions. Examples of topics explored are (1) Is time travel possible? and (2) Are insects edible and can it be the solution to world hunger? The app is a free resource that it aimed at promoting critical thinking and logical reasoning around real world contemporary topics.
