The Nuanic measurement offers a comprehensive solution for assessing both stress and recovery levels. By measuring sympathetic nervous system activation, it provides insights into the individual's response to stressors. High activation levels can indicate either positive or negative stress, while lower levels suggest relaxation or potential exhaustion. Designed for continuous monitoring over the long term, the Nuanic measurement system effectively illustrates the impact of emotional and cognitive stress on overall well-being. Utilizing the Nuanic Ring in conjunction with the Nuanic App, users can access real-time measurement results conveniently on their smartphones. The Nuanic Service, comprising the Nuanic Ring (currently accessible for businesses and research institutes), the Nuanic App (available as a free download), and the Nuanic Cloud, offers a holistic approach to stress management and analysis. Worn on the finger, the Nuanic Ring wirelessly transmits measurement data to the Nuanic App via Bluetooth. Users have the flexibility to monitor results in real-time or review them at their convenience, with the option to synchronize data to the Nuanic Cloud for further analysis. Key features of the Nuanic App include the Real-time view, providing instant feedback on stress levels, the Daily Diagram, which visually represents stress levels throughout the day akin to a clock face, and the Journal for personalized tracking and insights. Central to the Nuanic measurement methodology is the assessment of electrodermal activity (EDA), which reflects the activity of sweat glands in response to stimuli. By measuring EDA on the palmar skin of the finger, the Nuanic system offers a sensitive and reliable means of gauging emotional and cognitive stress levels, particularly beneficial in contexts such as knowledge work where stress management is crucial.
