The Occupational Therapy Dictionary application is a quick reference dictionary to enrich the Arabic content of the occupational therapy specialty, as it contains more than 2400 scientific terms translated and explained from English into Arabic (English-Arabic-Arabic) in addition to more than 350 illustrations. This app can be used: (1) as a reliable educational reference for occupational therapy students in academic study and training, (2) as a reference guide for occupational therapists in daily practice, (3) as a knowledge resource for healthcare professionals from other disciplines, (4) as a means of facilitating understanding and the process of communication between community members and occupational therapists by creating a unified and common language of communication, (5) and this application can also be used as an educational/introductory/educational reference for patients and their families who benefit from occupational therapy services, as this dictionary provides a simplified explanation in Arabic for the most important vocabulary widely used in occupational therapy. The application of the Occupational Therapy Dictionary is the first Arabic electronic dictionary that provides the latest standardized and internationally approved definitions of vocabulary in occupational therapy taken from important sources and reliable official documents in the field of health, rehabilitation sciences and occupational therapy such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT), the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT), the British Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) and many others.
