p10trancer is an iPad-native live video instrument for VJs and visual artists, inspired by the rich lineage of video mixers and samplers. Nine pads in a 3×3
grid, two output channels, a master fader, and effects you dial in by feel. Every gesture is performed live — there is no timeline, no track view, no beat grid.

WHAT'S INSIDE
• Nine independent video pads. Each pad can hold a video file, a still image, the iPad's front or back camera, a USB-C UVC camera (HDMI capture box, webcam), the
keyer's composite output, or the master mix as a feedback source.
• Two output channels with five master-mixer transitions: blur crossfade, linear swipe, star swipe, chroma key, luma key. A position fader sweeps between
channels.
• A six-effect rack on every pad: blur, internal feedback, chroma distortion, YUV phaser, luma phaser, edge enhance. Effects are bypassed by default — engage
what you need.
• Two independent pad-to-pad keyers, each with chroma or luma keying, threshold and softness. Keyers can chain (one keyer's foreground sources from another
keyer) and self-feedback.
• A simulated composite-NTSC pipeline. Frames are encoded into a simulated composite waveform with 4× horizontal oversampling, glitch effects mutate the encoded
composite, and the result is decoded back. Chroma boost, HSync wobble, subcarrier drift, Y/C delay, dropouts, banded noise — every artifact is the kind of thing
a real analog video processor produces, because it's produced by the same kind of operations.
• HDMI external display through a DP-Alt-Mode USB-C dongle, switchable between HD 720p and NTSC 4:3.
• Per-pad audio mixed through AVAudioEngine. Audio follows whichever channel its pad is routed to. Master output captures to MP4.

This update is mostly bug fixes and improvements, plus a few new toys.
Improvements:
• Reworked output: choose 4:3 or 16:9 with per-aspect resolution options, and scale each pad with zoom-to-fill or letterbox. Cameras now use the full sensor frame.
• Color grade and the analog look are now a single, simpler set of output FX.
• New instruments: an ACIDBASS bass synth (with kick-to-bass sidechain ducking) and a 14-engine MULTIPLATES macro synth, plus a bigger 46-wave bank for WAVETABLE.
• Play instruments live over MIDI, and tweak the feedback wet/dry mix.
Fixes:
• Recordings now fill the whole frame at every output size.
• Fixed instrument tempo drifting under load and instrument knobs that wouldn't drag.
• Instrument patches and patterns now save and reload with your sessions.
