RAyTools 3 is installation technician’s best friend and a result of our continued effort to build upon the success of previous generation of the app. RAyTools is a modern mobile and tablet app simplifying planning, deployment and maintenance of RAy links.
RAyTools has got 3 main features:
• Link Calculator supporting all our links and antennas, giving you the same quality of results as our much-loved website calculator;
• Antenna Alignment for voltmeter-free installation, including real-time RSS plot and acoustic output;
• Link management access.
Next time, leave your heavy gear at home and align antennas only using your phone!
Requirements:
• RAy3 with firmware version 2.0.11.0 or higher installed – see Download section on http://www.racom.eu/ray-downl-eng;
• WiFi module plugged in to RAy unit – see http://www.racom.eu/wifi2-eng;
• WiFi enabled in RAy management – see chapter “USB Accessories” in user manual;
• Smartphone or tablet connected to RAy unit by WiFi.
Use of device location:
Your location may be used if the user decides to use the feature to automatically input coordinates into link calculation. It is shared anonymously with
Google Maps Elevation API service to request terrain height map of the link. No information is saved outside your device.

* Optimized performance of alignment (when fine option is enabled, it is called 6 times a seconds, when disabled, it is called 3 times a second)
* Introduce "Other" option for Antenna
* Better notification when ACM active during alignment
* Introduce "License and Legal information" screen
Bug fixes:
* Select "Use precise mode" when importing data
* App was crashing during alignment if parameters changed
* Map was blinking during panning
* Power constraint warning was visible when not relevant
* Endless loading when user rejected location services when "use my device location" clicked
