Fire Wire App Version 3 has officially landed, and it’s a complete overhaul from top to bottom. This isn’t just an update—it’s a full redesign using modern, state-of-the-art technology built to perform as fast as the first responders it’s made for. Designed for firefighters, EMTs, and emergency service buffs, Fire Wire 3 is now more powerful, more intuitive, and more expansive than ever. Whether you’re in New York City, across the U.S., or in Europe, Version 3 delivers the tools, speed, and reliability to keep you connected to what’s happening—when it’s happening. A Legacy Rebuilt Fire Wire began as a passion project to track live FDNY incidents and keep the community informed. Over the years, it’s grown into a go-to resource for emergency updates and scanner feeds. Version 3 honors that foundation while modernizing every layer—making the app faster, cleaner, and more versatile than ever before. Built for Speed, Just Like You This latest version features an all-new backend infrastructure. Expect faster load times, smoother navigation, and real-time updates without lag or crashes. Whether it’s a box alarm in the Bronx or a hazmat call in London, the app performs seamlessly, even during high-traffic surges. Redesigned Interface The user interface is sleeker and more intuitive. A refreshed layout makes it easier to access your feed, map, notifications, and live scanners. It’s clean, customizable, and optimized - perfect for use in the field or on the go. Real-Time Feed and Interactive Map The incident feed is now smarter and faster. It updates in real time and is paired with an interactive map, so you can see the exact location of every call. Just tap on any pin for details, expand the map for a closer look, and stay locked in to what’s happening in your chosen areas. Custom Alerts and Personalization Now you have total control. Customize your feed by city, borough, or county. Set notifications for specific incident types or even particular fire companies. Choose from authentic firehouse tones and never miss the alerts that matter most to you. Enhanced Scanner Experience Live scanner feeds are clearer, faster, and more reliable. Listen in to dispatch and tactical channels with improved stability and audio quality. Premium users can access even more regional scanner channels and enjoy uninterrupted streaming. News Feed and Community Content Fire Wire 3 now features a dedicated news section covering fire service updates, safety tips, historical incidents, and more. Engage with the community, leave comments, share info, and be part of a growing hub built by and for emergency service professionals. Expanding Reach: NYC and Beyond While rooted in NYC, Fire Wire 3 now covers incidents across the U.S. and into Europe. Add multiple regions to your feed and monitor fire activity in real time, from coast to coast and overseas. The platform is actively expanding—don’t see your area yet? It’s likely coming soon. Free to Download – Premium Available The app is free to download with core features included, and premium subscriptions unlock advanced capabilities like expanded scanner feeds, custom sounds, unit-specific notifications, and more.
